Threads that disappear without warning. Now the real estate sign thread is gone. No explanation, no information. This is the second one in two days. Presumably someone said something extremely naughty. Naturally I am desperate to know what it was. Locking a thread is one thing. Vanishing it is something else.

How can there be an explanation posted? If a discussion is hidden (usually a lengthy discussion will only be hidden at the request of the OP), you won't see the explanation!

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

My local Noel Leeming apparently doesn't warrant a mention on the Store Hours page...

A PSA for anyone sending a parcel overseas:

  1. Double-check the address.
  2. Put the intended recipient's full name, not just their first name, so that if you get the address wrong the actual recipient can make an attempt at looking them up.
  3. A sender's name would help too...

I'm left with no option other than to write "not this address" on it and leave the poor post office people with the problem.

Three in a row! surprised

What is the point of putting nutritional labels on things if the numbers are randomly-generated? I know that cupcakes aren't exactly healthy but at supposedly 7978 kJ each, are they made out of senzu beans or something?

Perhaps just delete the offending post and leave a mod comment? On threads I've been involved in it often shows on my live update and then clicking gets me a thread deleted page :(

Same thing onthe friends column when Freitasm has commented on something that perks my interest and then all I see is the 404 with no idea WHY ...

So my (minor) irritation is"not knowing" something I thought I should be able to know 🤔

In that specific case the OP removed it.

As I said  in that specific case the OP removed the post, not moderators. There isn't an explanation to be given, it's the OP prerogative to do it.

When someone thinks they know something better, but actually don't, and 'correct' a statement that is true with one that isn't.

Still not sure if that is a lot for cakes though...what would you expect it to be?

The fact that so many similar countries are incapable of adopting single standards for uniform requirements, such as food labelling and road signs.
