Finally after 20 years loyalty which they just wrote and said doesn’t apply anymore with their new policies am giving State Insurance the boot. Aqua insurance $1200 for an 8k car. Checked with another company named Protecta at $10k and it was $860
I’ve called in a broker to review all my insurances today.
Edited for company spelling
kingdragonfly: I'm trying to buy something from the Farmers website. Every f***ing page has this huge pop-up, which activates some time after the page loads, and I start scrolling.
I've had it close it at least 10 times,
I'm shopping elsewhere!
Not an expert by any means, but wondering if you browse with an ad blocker?
If they don't know if you've seen the ad then they'll pop it up on every page.
If you've seen it once already (and they know it) they won't show it to you again.... will they????

You have the most stolen to the point that it's a meme car available and you're shocked they wont give you a discount?

I wasn't aware of this before but yeah, it is the most stolen car in NZ:
AMI recorded around 17,000 claims for stolen cars last year, and the Aqua made up 11% of the claims. Toyota Aqua amounts to only 2% of the country’s motor vehicle fleet, but it contributed to over 4000 car theft claims for residents across Auckland and Canterbury.
REALLY annoyed with the Synology website at the moment. I just spent 20 minutes writing a detailed support ticket, then dragged an attachment onto the "choose file" button only for it to - contrary to virtually any other website - replace the page with the attachment instead of just attaching it. I clicked Back immediately and my ticket was gone.
This is really frustrating because I always do a "select all, copy" before clicking Submit, but I hadn't done it in this case because I've never seen a file chooser mess up like that before! Argh!

You usually drag-and-drop a file to a marked area on the page. Anywhere else, the browser will open the file. That's how it is, nothing to do with Synology.

Yep, except I did. I dragged it onto the "Choose File" button (just like e.g. Geekzone) and it replaced the page instead of attaching it.
Well, then that's crap.

Yep, and because the ticket entry page is a multi-step thing on a single URL, the Back button took me back to step 1 instead of my ticket text.
In hindsight I may have been able to recover by proceeding to the appropriate step again, but it's too late now.

Not all choose file buttons are targets for dragging things. Often its some script BS that will then bring up the actual process.
Same as the fake search textbox that trademe have at the top of the page that you can't drag text into.
I suspect there's a script behind this one too, but you'd think they'd do some testing before subjecting their customers to it. Well, at least, if this were the "good old days" then I'd expect testing. These days I suppose it's par for the course.
Maybe I'll stop ranting now...

Depends on the Aqua (or Prius-C). If it's keyless start, they are significantly less stolen. The key operation ones, yep, they are the most stolen.
I'd heard something similar. I have a (different) Toyota hybrid and I was surprised to learn that the petrol version uses a key instead of a button. I mean, it makes sense, but it still surprised me :)
