When you are going through the click-clacks on the way into the supermarket and the person in front of you stops as soon as they get out of the click-clacks leaving you stuck in the click-clacks.

The answer to both of those is to keep on going. Easy when you have a trolly on an travelator, it does it for you and you cant stop it from giving them a shove.

When people ask for 'offers' when posting something for sale in Offers & Wanted.

Surely you must have some idea of what you're prepared to let it go for.  If you miraculously hope that someone is willing to pay way above that then auction it on TradeMe.

For some reason my wife finds those things very difficult and sort of shuffles sideways through them with a pained expression. No idea why!

A related supermarket thing is the systems that are used to apply electronic brakes to the trolley wheels in order to prevent them being taken from within the supermarket boundary. Sometimes the sensors go awry and your trolley stops dead before you reach the car!

That the BNZ cash-machine makes me input the number of cents when I'm withdrawing cash, when it only dispenses notes.

(This seems to be quite a recent software change, if anyone here can give me the rationale behind it I'd love to hear it.)

Same user interface as used for the other parts of the machine when entering in amounts of money I expect, since you can transfer and deposit on machines, those can be any amount.

Easily solved, install sharp spikes to make them one way only :)  Like traffic spikes, not used so much in NZ , but everywhere in the USA.

Have you tried changing the view style to your preferred one then CTRL+SHIFT when closing the search window?

Tried it, but didn't work. For some reason, the default view always goes back go content view in certain folders.  I've tried a few different things found by googling, nothing works.

Oh the joys of the hospital restructuring of the mid to late 90's.

District health boards to crown health enterprises and eventually back to where we started...

How the only geriatric rehabilitation hospital in Chch was supposed to compete with the only main public hospital in Chch.... Farce of duplicate IT, pathology services..

Only thing that changed on the ground floor was logos on the chairs...

A.

People using hands-free mode on phone in public and yelling into the phone.

(I blame reality TV where they want to broadcast both sides of conversation at once)

Sure its a phone call and not them sending voice in wechat or similar? People tend to be loud doing that since you dont hear yourself back from the phone when recording one. That really is the apps fault for not mimmicing a phone experiance.

The bit where they hold the phone horizontal to the ground and hold the microphone end to their lips and yell into it.

Don't know what software using but results in yelling probably because the speaker is further away from ear so sounds quiet and person yells because of it.
