Security gate, enough said

minimal effort on their behalf as they really dont care if they have to take it back, if you really wanted it why not leave the gate open?

Bung: Why would the driver waving be more obvious than a courier van if you were going to come out?

It is NOT marked as an Aramex vehicle.....and no-one exited the vehicle! Why should I think it is a Courier for me?

(No CTC was left in the letterbox making it impossible without that reference number provided you cannot complete an online request for redelivery!

...and was it an actual delivery attempt anyway?)

It's there for a reason!

So it's working as intended, then? Keeping people out, including the courier.

You can't have a security gate or a dog and expect a courier to deliver to your property without having somewhere else to leave the item. They are not waiting for you to open the gate, or hold the dog back, they don't have the time for it.

This notification from Trademe:

The Trade Me Messages feature is being retired and will no longer operate after 17 December 2024.  We are committed to continually improving how our members use our platform. After careful consideration, we've identified that this feature is not meeting the standards we want for our members.

Apart from the fact that the "not meeting the standards" has been patched in later in a different font, allow me to modify the message to what they're really saying, using the new Word of the Year:

After careful consideration, we've identified that this feature is not meeting the standards of enshittification we want for our members.

Phones and tablets that need two buttons pressed at the same time to turn off.

It is even worse when both required buttons are on the same side of the device.

NZPost said I had two packages delivered at the same time (different senders), but only one of them at my door! And crap it, it isn't the pbtech one.

Tracking proof of delivery next to useless. Self signed. Photo that says photo. I'm hoping it hasn't blown away as gales just now. Bugger.

Double annoying. Good news lost package is still on the way. Issue was because I had looked at nzpost tracking info on delivered parcel first, and then looked at 2nd parcel tracking link from pbtech email, it showed it as being delivered (2nd panel below), when it clearly hasn't. I shouldn't have to clear my cache between tracking ids. 10 minute call to find that out!

I know its been said before (many times) but just need to vent...

Home all morning. Leave the house for ~20 minutes. Come home to find the card to call under the doormat. I swear, it's like they wait for me to leave before swooping.

Rebel Sport Click & Collect.

Advertise that C&C will be ready next day.

Order at 3.30pm

Two days later - still nothing.

Should've just gone in and chanced it.

Did they also charge you for C&C? I did a Briscoes C&C a couple of years back - they charged me a fee for it. Dumb. And, it took them a couple of days.

Maybe they don't do that anymore.

Warehouse do that too if they have to get it from another store. F that, I am not paying for their logistics shortcomings.

$3 for C&C

I might as well pay $5 to have it delivered

Having to spend ages de-iceing any Christmas stollen bought from a store.  This is what it's supposed to look like:

and that's being fairly generous with the icing sugar.

Also a lot less gloopy in consistency.
