I took inspiration from how la penguina is dealing with her kids at school and suggested to my boss that since this is the last few days of work we could have nap time and watch a video.
This brilliant morale boosting idea was not well received.
Most of the posters in this thread are just like chimpanzees on MDMA, full of feelings of bonhomie, joy, and optimism. Fred99 8/4/21

Some countries with declining birth rates are encouraging workers to have a wee lie down during working hours - and to indulge in some horizontal folk dancing. Russia recently promoted this.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Ah yes, one of the great benefits to come out of WFH. Although not widely promoted in the media...
Wanted to order a replacement Cape Cod chair from the Warehouse which is a bit too big to fit into most cars and shipping is only $7.50 anyway. "Your address 123 Fishkill Drive, Eketehuna 1234 is invalid, please select a valid address via the NZ Post address finder". Selected 123 Fishkill Drive, Eketehuna 1234 and now it's suddenly valid.
I've had this before with TM as well, the NZ Post site records it as valid, the site using the NZ Post address finder doesn't regard it as valid. Does their web API return multiple success statuses and the clients using them only check for one of them?

Sometimes those address forms dont play nice with browser autofill. The sort of thing that a competant web developer would test against, but this is the warehouse so 🤷♂️

Unless it's something that went well and/or got finished, in which case the current mob takes full credit despite having zero to do with any part of the project other than trying to block it at every step while they were in opposition.

Most likely. I suspect this is/will no longer be a small matter. 🤷
