I don't get how a store can justify charging for Click and Collect? Is it only Rebel (and Briscoes) that do it?

Mitre 10 too I think.

There's additional overhead to pick, store, track orders made via click and collect. So each business decides for itself whether it's worth charging for or not.

The worst is the warehouse who charge you to click and collect things they send from a different store. Passing their failures to manage stock levels in store onto me as a customer is BS. Way to make me order the same thing online from somewhere else generally with free or cheaper shipping.

The speed - or lack thereof - of Spark's 4G network. I just uploaded a photo at ~170 kb/s. That's not much faster than 1xRTT!

Click and collect is a loss leader for the supermarkets that offer it and the owners hate having to fund it. We find it extremely convenient!

Luck of geography? We moved house a distance of 1.1km as the crow flies a bit over a year ago. At the old place Spark 4G was between barely usable and unusable. In the new place there's still no 5G but Spark 4G has 3 bars and 100Mbps/50Mbps up/down.

for that reason I can't wear my fav polarised sunnies whilst out on my motorbike with the visor down. It kind of reflects back and causes distortion. It's good to have a few pairs of sunnies for different activities.

Just got home and discovered someone has dropped something and broken one of our kitchen tiles - it's chippped on the edge and cracked through the middle  - they're long tiles like wooden planks.

We have spares, but now we're going to have to get someone in to pull up the offending tile, cut a new one to fit the awkward area around the bottom of the cupbard corner and grout/seal it.

Is there no end to the problems in this house?

I think it's just lack of investment. Around ten years ago 3G had slowed to this sort of crawl and 4G was a breath of fresh air. Now 4G is overly congested and there's still no 5G on the tower (the "FTM Dashboard" tells me its cell ID is 374641, if that's helpful to anyone).

We are now running 2 computers to do our online shopping. the wife looks up one supermarket, I look up the other , and then we "click and collect" 2 different orders and save $$.

This fits in with their "highly competitive market" claims.

Bags are included with click and collect, they charge for each one if I go in and have to deal with finding things myself. And I buy less crap I dont need with click and collect since the trash tier website makes finding things so hard.

Does mean I dont see the alternates that may be on special as easily but I will live with that.

Awful for you after all the house hassles. Did someone actually drop something or is it pressure from being tiled too close without an expansion gap. Have seen this happen.

Definitely an impact issue - spacing and grouting etc was all good. It'll be one of the kids, most likely - they'll have dropped something like a tin and won't have probably noticed.

PaknSave click and collect is cut to the bone - no bags. You take your own bags or boxes and your order is wheeled out on a dolly loaded into plastic crates. It's a bit of a pain loading all the stuff into boxes in the boot but I can understand it keeps their price and waste packaging down.
