I find that wee logo very useful when tuning TV's and other receivers. Without it you could wait some time before knowing what channel you were on.

Fair enough if it stayed on 10 seconds when you first arrived on the channel. It's the permanence - and the presumed burn in with no compensation for TV owners - that annoys me. Plus the fact that they love themselves so much that they think I need to be permanently reminded who's backside the sun is shining out of...! yell

Daylight Savings Time. In Europe it seemed to make sense. Gorgeous summer evenings with sunsets that lingered until 10 pm. Here it just annoys me. I don't see a significant difference in daylight hours, but jumping the clock around disorients me and I can't get used to it. The time just feels wrong and I keep thinking it is an hour earlier or later or whatever. By the time I finally adjust to it, the clock jumps again. Just leave it alone and get used to the seasonal changes.

It seems fairly pointless.

Here it is dark in midwinter by 1730 - that is about 90 minutes later than the SE of England from memory. In midsummer it seems to stay light pretty much until around the same time.

If we left the clocks on Summertime all year, it would be dark in winter at 1830 instead which seems better.

Having to pay to access my mobile's voicemail (on Vodafone). I know it's standard and they have always done it etc, but annoying when I only just topped it up a few days ago for the monthly combo to renew on Thursday, and miss a call today and don't have enough credit left to call my voicemail so am required to top up $20 minimum again just to hear the message. Know it's my own fault, and I should top up a few dollars extra each month to allow for this etc but still a small thing that annoys me.

You can get voicemail turned off you know? I like skinnys option to just play a message and then hang up more than letting people talk which I have to then listen to and figure out what they are saying over a crappy Cellular codec.

The fact they charge to access it is the reason I choose to not have voicemail - I have never had it. Well, that and the fact it's a hassle. Send me an email. Or a voice message on Viber/LINE/Signal/WhatsApp. They're all effectively free.

2D let your voicemail come off your minutes, and previously let you ring your own number and use your phone dialling PIN to ... listen to your own messages on 'plan' minutes too.

Quick google says VF let this work too:

Listening to your messages from any other phone

If you're calling from outside the local calling area or from a mobile phone, applicable call charges apply

Dial 0800 836245 (0800 VFMAIL) or 0064 9 947 6000 to access the main menu (International calling charges apply, when calling from outside New Zealand)
Enter your area code (with or without the 0) and your telephone number, e.g. 09123 4567
Enter your 4 digit PIN number and then press #
Press 1 for the Voice Messaging Menu
Press 1 to listen to your messages.

Edit: that might only be for a landline voicemail.... here's @nate (obviously GZer) giving you a free voice-to-email work around too:

Yeah I feel like it should just come off the minutes you already pay for rather than being an extra charge. Didn't realise 2 Degrees did it that way.

A mouse. In my house.

Which leads to another small annoyance.

Mouse feeding stations cleverly disguised as traps.

It's included in my VF contact. Along with unlimited minutes and texts. And 12 GB of data per month.

The mice avoid our house. It is the cats that bring them in.

How much do you pay for that out of interest?

People who insist on pointing out that a procedure you have complained about is the correct one. I don't care if it is. I care that I don't like doing it that way, which is why I complained about it.

It annoys me (more than a little) what MSFT have done to Windows Mobile. I was tidying up my office today and getting rid of some tech stuff I no longer need and was reunited with my old Lumia 925. I liked Windows mobile but it has been systematically wrecked by MSFT in the last 24 months.

caught 17 last time that happened , one big family. Dog and cat just watched them run across the floor in front of them.

Common sense is not as common as you think.
