You mean the slow down to 20k's and move into it right at the end still partially blocking the thru lane types? Or the ones that do the same without looking and nearly take you out when correctly driving over the lined area to not hinder cars going straight thru?

freitasm:

Based on the image above, the folks that instead of easing into the zebra area and being parallel to the road just turn at the last minute, leaving half of their car on the main road, blocking traffic.

Yep - all of the above. Muppets, the lot of them.

i had a muppet do the very thing and then follow me until i stopped and abused me for cutting him off  , couldnt answer me when i asked him how i cut him off when i was behind him.

Coil:

When your boss advises of a process change when closing certain tickets. What took us 17 seconds per ticket which we closed 100% of them. They account for 50% of the tickets we get. Now on average the time taken to investigate, put on hold if required and email a customer is 1:50. Mind too closed to listen to anyone else, when asked questions about the process and how it will affect the previous automated emails they sent when we close them was met with "Oh really I didn't know they did that" flat out denied it even did till I showed them. Makes you wonder why someone is changing a process they don't even understand. Hmmmmmm...

Create a ticket for closing the previous ticket.

Interesting to observe that in some countries, driving in that zebra part is illegal - it would be in the UK, where you would also often find raised traffic islands at either end with Keep Left bollards on them.

Clearly not illegal here, but may explain why some people do it if they did not learn to drive in NZ (where, obviously, I use 'learn to drive' in the  loosest possible sense!) or are visitors.

From the UK highway code

Rule 130
Areas of white diagonal stripes or chevrons painted on the road. These are to separate traffic lanes or to protect traffic turning right.
If the area is bordered by a broken white line, you should not enter the area unless it is necessary and you can see that it is safe to do so.
If the area is marked with chevrons and bordered by solid white lines you MUST NOT enter it except in an emergency.

I don't expect people to drive on the zebra but to place the car parallel to the main road, within the designated area. At some point you have to do it - if too late you leave half of the car sticking out, diagonally instead of parallel to the main road.

Selfies.

God how how I hate them and the people who take them.

I'm in Vietnam at the moment and so often you visit some historic monument etc only to find it despoiled by hordes of morons with selfie sticks, so self-obsessed that getting the selfie to prove you were there is more important than actually understanding and experiencing the site you are visiting.

I was trying to photograph a Cham temple at My Son the other day and simply could not get the snowflake millennial Italians to understand that the fact that they were running back and forth for 20 minutes in the doorway trying to get the best selfie was causing much inconvenience to the photographers who wanted to photograph the temple without tourists monkeying about in the doorway.

When I am Great Leader, anyone taking one will be in for an unpleasant surprise!

Probably the same people who are incapable of using the throttle and/or brake to match traffic speed when merging, and who therefore run out of road, having to come to a complete stop thus causing traffic to build up behind them and doubtless being the cause for the Driving For Idiots signs that say "Merge Like A Zip"!

I said before but repeat:

  • People who pull out in front of your car from a side street, slowing you down, when there is no one behind you
  • People who put the foot on the brakes, slow down, and then indicate

the first one is the worst and what really upsets me is that they leave it till you have to break sharply to stop hitting them and you beep them  and they start abusing you and  give you the finger. Bull bars would come in handy at times

And those who won't merge if flooring it means getting in front of someone, even if that someone is doing the same speed as other traffic on the road.

Or merge using the Velcro method: Just mash together without thought and she'll be 'right, eh?

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

You're the third car stopped at traffic lights, waiting for them to change. The second car in front of you has enough space in front of it to comfortably fit a B-train truck.

People who think that everyone should not take photos how they want and instead should clear out of their way so they can take a photo of something probably no different to any of the 100's of the thing already available online.

IRD's system extrapolating that since I sold a house* this year, I'm also going to do so next year. As the tax payable this year crossed a threshold of some description, they're now asking me to pre-pay next year's tax... starting with an invoice for $1600 due in four working days. Cutting it a bit fine?

*I didn't, but that's a whole other story!

I'd planned on blinding them with hot irons but I like your idea. Although I don't want to see the selfies after....!

Yes. All we visual artists should cease to photograph, paint or draw anything that has already been done at least once.
