As a retail worker: People who dump money on the counter as opposed to handing it to me, and then throw a tantrum when I do the same thing. A little courtesy given to me ensures you get courtesy returned. 😠

tdgeek: Websites wanting me to watch a video, but making me watch 15 seconds of ads, so I don't watch the video.

Then you find the video you wanted to watch is actually shorter than the advert you had to watch, to watch it....

People who stroll on pedestrian crossings, just because they can.

^And start walking faster as soon as they're off the crossing.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

That's interesting.  I quite often lay (don' t throw, mind you) cash on the counter to clearly show how much is there, particularly coins.  I thought I was being helpful. smile

when 2 lanes merge into 1 and people don't merge like a zip. Always some muppet who tries to queue jump...and nobody likes queue jumpers.

Not wrong there!

Certainly agree there too. It's not that hard match the speed of the other vehicles and merge! Velcro drivers. Just mash it together and make everyone else just fit somewhere.

Me too, if I am paying in exact change. I usually pay cash and something else that has long irritated me is retail workers insisting on placing my change - paper and coins - along with the receipt all together in my hand. I then have to stand there, awkwardly trying to keep from dropping it whilst manipulating the various compartments in my wallet and bag to put it all away. When I can I just indicate or ask that they put it on the counter. Some do, some seem to have trouble with the notion. I have concluded this is some kind of cultural thing so I don't make a big issue out of it but I sure do wish they would just put everything on the counter so I could pick it up as I am ready.

If you are not throwing a tanty when it goes on the counter in return then you are not the target market for this ; ).

I have been working in retail for nearly 25 years and was taught to always place the money into the customer's hand. Most of them hand it to me, but you get the odd one who acts like it's a hassle to do that. I can understand people may have their hands full but when they got no reason for doing it kinda grates me.

I was taught by my parents that it was bad manners to bang the money on the counter, I was taught to hand it to the CSR and if there was change to offer my hand and to say thank you .
