Fred99:

The freaking vegans in my family are now pushing kombucha at me.

There is no way that vile random bacterial/fungal floating scum juice will ever pass my lips. Not a drop.

If garbage like that had therapeutic benefit, how come they're all pale, spotty, obese, and completely unhappily obsessive about their freaking health?  They all look like they need a chop to chew on - an idea I'd never force on them.

/rant over.

The small thing which annoys me is that you can't tell family they're morons, by return of email sent with link to youtube home kombucha instructions, on social media, or directly to their faces.

As I read here on gz some ago, if God didn't intend us to eat animals, why did he make them out of food?

Asking someone a "simple" question and getting a non-answer!

Like:

Q: Is that car RED?

A: It is NOT BLUE!

That may be correct, but does not answer my question!

Seemingly intelligent people, who work in multi-million dollars projects who enter a lift, push the button and instead of moving to the back of the car stays in front of the panel, preventing others from pushing the button to their respective floors or forcing them to contort in unnecessary ways to push the buttons without touching said intelligent people...

How about people who push into the lift without waiting for people to get out first? Garh!

I'd use the stairs but I'm worried about increasing my personal CO2 emissions so sticking with the (mostly) clean green renewables powered lifts! :-D

Wrong thread but for some reason this reminds me of when I first started work nearly 50 years ago. One day I got in the lift on my own to go up to the 6th floor where I worked. On the the way up I expelled a particularly nasty piece of bad air, thinking I was a bit smart.

However I was mortified because when I got out at 6, the Managing Director’s secretary got in, to go up to the 12th floor where she worked. Couldn’t ever look her in the eye after that.

I bet someone got in on L7 and blamed her for it too!

In our office building there is a training institute on the first floor.

A behaviour I see everyday is the students at this facility pushing past people waiting for the lift ahead of them, as if they aren't there.  Then, because they are stopping on Level 1, they immediately have to squeeze past all the people they barrelled in front of to get on the lift in the first place.

Yes, people who go past others already waiting...

Or bus stop where people arrive after others and instead of going to the end of the queue they just jump in front of the first one (arriving from the top side of the queue) and get into the bus first, taking the available space while the people already there end up standing.
