Youtubers looking into the camera to address the audience - except they look at themselves in the little screen next to the camera instead of looking into the lens itself. So the effect is they appear not to be looking at the audience, but looking past their ear. Annoying.

People you don't know who ask you something via PM then never check back to see your reply.

Spotify Discover Weekly playlist suddenly returning foreign language songs, and then not learning as I try to skip past them and retrain it.

shk292:

People who refer to a switch/router/AP as a "modem"

I wonder how long it will be between xDSL finally being phased out people finally stopping calling anything that connects to the internet as a "modem"?

Hint: if you have fibre, you don't need a modem.  If you have 4G, you don't need a modem

Just the other day I was talking to vodafone about my fibre router and was corrected by one of there 'experts' thats it's a modem.

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

Indicators show intention! No indicator = No intention!

Until the driver hits you because he didn't indicate.

Or drive indicates right when entering the roundabout and then leave the roundabout on the second exit (i.e. not actually going around).

Some people...

I nearly got hit by someone signalling left as he entered a roundabout. I thought he was signalling a left turn but I guess he was actually signaling his intention to enter the roundabout. Not that he had any other option.

A general gripe with people and indicating in NZ:

YES, you are SUPPOSED to use your indicating when you change lanes, not just after you changed.

People seem to be indicating as they are turning, not very useful.

Or as I said before, people driving down the road, put the foot on brakes and then, when almost stopped, indicate the intention to enter a driveway or turn.

I'm as much concerned about the people that cannot read the road or possible changes of the vehicular activity ahead of themselves as I am about the idiots you describe. It can't be that hard to think ahead and recognize what could potentially be happening?

Wherever possible, think 5 cars ahead.

I agree with you... The main problem is that while I am thinking the next 30 seconds, some people can't think what they are doing on that exact moment...

A cyclist almost crashing into me in central Auckland. They rode through a red light, and I was crossing the road on the green pedestrian crossing signal. They were riding in a separated cycleway with kerbs either side, and they looked to be going too fast to be able to stop in time. So they would have been unable to avoid an accident if I hadnt seen them and taken measures to avoid them.

It could have been a nasty accident, if instead of myself. There was a wheelchair/ mobility scooter / pram / someone using a walking frame etc. Who would struggle to make a sudden movement.
