My courier thing referred to above. STILL not delivered and now won't be until next week.

How these companies remain in business eludes me.

Because they are ALL as bad as each other!

No-one is offering and delivering a "good" point of difference unfortunately!

Don’t really want a ‘good’ point of difference - need a ‘best’ point of difference.

When you pick up a cold in summer. You're tired, but you can't get to sleep because your runny nose and cough keep you awake. But eventually, you manage to drift into sleep. Bliss.

Then at 11:30 PM some lowlife decides that the whole neighbourhood wants to hear their music at full volume.

Just cut my hands extracting my new electric toothbrush from its excessive plastic packaging. Grrrr.

I can understand the need to protect a hygiene item, but this was rediculous.

The current media glorification of TradeMe's 20th anniversary.

I can't get my head around why they seem to revere it as some sort of social samaritan organisation whilst they quite happily and quickly stick the knife into any other corporate organisation for the slightest infraction or error.

I would add to the pen thing how none of the packs of pens ever have a white one in them.

When things "don't work" and you think it's you.  For example my ANZ GoMoney app:

I added an extra one of my fingerprints on my phone, the app then locked me out of fingerprint scan access for security reasons (which is a fair enough/good security default), requested that I change the settings in the app, so enter my PIN.  I've used only fingerprint access for a couple of years, when I entered my PIN, it rejected it - making me think I'd used the wrong pin as I'd forgotten it.  Click on "forgotten PIN", then log on to screen using customer code and password, receive SMS with access code for the app - which gets rejected (incorrect PIN).  Try this again - and it gets rejected again.  Phone CS, get guided through the same process which fails again.  Solution was to delete the app and reinstall it, log in using ID/pwd, create new PIN, log in to app, enable fingerprint scanning in settings - solved.  The solution itself took about a minute  - the half hour trying to figure out WTF I'd done wrong (when I hadn't), I'll never get back. Suppose I shouldn't grizzle too much - I've just wasted another few minutes typing this.

I'm sure that certain individuals on this forum who work at ANZ will take your feedback on board... :-)

There's possibly some instruction / FAQ somewhere that I didn't see stating that "if you still have problems after following these instructions to reset your PIN, then try uninstalling and reinstalling the app".  Maybe this could be tacked on to the SMS message with the temporary online code.

The lack of common sense and lateral thinking that I encounter so often when trying to do business.

Example:

A tourist attraction I made arrangements for a group boooking of 11 pax for. They sent me an invoice for 11 people.

I then emailed them a few days later and ask them to amend the booking because we have had another client sign up for the trip. I ask them to amend the booking to 12 pax.

They reply telling me that they have and that they look forward to seeing us.

So I have to waste some more time reminding them that they also need to let me have the revised invoice....because it apparently passed them by that they would need to do that.

Maybe they were running a ‘Buy 11 get 1 free promotion’ 😁

The fact that I can never seem to choose the right forum for my topic.

spending a fair amount on a take away restaurant quality meal to make myself feel better after being sick for weeks, and finding a blowfly cooked onto my roasted tomato, and hoping that was the only one rather than the only one that I noticed.

Then calling up and them not seeming even slightly surprised, just casually mentioned I could come by for a refund.
