Buying 3 things at Briscoes today and not one of them being on sale. What are the chances of that? Even the staff member who handled the sale, commented on it.

On the plus side, if there is a sale on these items for the next 30 days I can go back and get the price difference refunded, which is entirely awesome really.

Groups or couples that cluster together and walk slowly and occasionally stop dead on a busy pavement in the middle of the city.

If they are dead, you can't really blame them for stopping. IF they kept moving I'd be considerably more alarmed :)

The new, overly long, touchy-feely Spark TV commercial about an old guy in hospital who sends a video to be shown at his daughter’s wedding. Yechh!

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

If they were ACTUALLY dead, I'd forgive them the sudden stop...🤪

Getting an email that I didn't ask for from a commercial real estate agent, which has a comment at the bottom that said company "respects my privacy"..

I just realised that the final episode of Game of Thrones - which I invited some friends over to see on my big screen - is the same night as something else I committed to months ago.

My SO has advised me to give you a +1 for that quote! (Done)

She is the same in believing "Why do we both have to know how to drive anything that has to be plugged in!"

Realized that the email address listed on my Aliexpress account is out of date. Yet Aliexpress won't let me change it, as it sends a verification code to the old email address. Which I have to provide before it will allow me to enter a new email address. And even worse, It now won't let me login. It has sent me another email to my old address, and it wants me to enter the verification code from that email.

Now I see why some people want to hang onto old Xtra or other ISP email addresses.

Oh no, Briscoes 101, don't shop there until Friday.

Staff must get really surprised to see people in there during the week :)

Sorry to bring doom n gloom to the topic .. my mum left everything technical to my dad to do, he passed away last month, now my mum is on a steep learning curve (since she is in UK and I'm here), have your wife learn .. she can still have you do it anyway :-)  just so long as she knows how, saves a lot of grief if something bad happens.

I have a similar story unfortunately.

My wife does our families financial stuff, and manages the day to day operations of the household. I am capable, but it's something she likes to do.

We have spent a bit of time lately, ensuring that I have password to our utility providers, and know where she stores documents relating to things, so that if something happens, I am not trying to find critical stuff whilst dealing with grief etc.

It's a morbid thing, but utterly neccessary. If something happens to either of us, we want to be able to give our full attention to our kids and ourselves to ensure ths situation isn't worse than it needs to be.

I had an email from HP asking me to fill out a survey for them, it said "HP respects your time" and "The survey will take about 20 minutes".
