Threads asking for the best product recommendation but excluding certain manufacturers (generally Apple) for religious reasons.

I don't get how this is still a thing in 2019 when everything mostly works with everything.

There is nothing wrong with specifying a brand preference or operating system preference. I, for example, would be extremely hesitant to buy Apple as I am heavily invested in the Android ecosystem and it would require the purchase of apps all over again.

Also, some platforms are more structured at the detriment to flexibility and vice versa.

Lol. When people won't consider a product independent of its utility it's religious, not objective.

for your convenience we've re-directed your parcel to your local Parcel Connect location.

No, Fastway, you've done that for your own convenience, not mine!

And often this note is dropped in your mailbox while you're waiting at home for the delivery.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

They didn't actually drop a note at all! I only saw the message when trying to track the thing down (which involved using a third-party site to convert the tracking number supplied by Amazon into one that Fastway's site would accept).

While commuting, Kiwis lack basic merging abilities

"Line cutter" I signal, find a spot to merge, and merge. Meanwhile the person behind me, tails me, once I merge goes flying up the remaining merge lane, doesn't signal, and cuts in front of as many people as possible

"Me first": see merge coming, tails person in front, ignores the speed of merging traffic.

"Lines, what lines?" the moment they can cross traffic, without mounting a curb, they cross over white solid lines.

"It's an emergency! I want to get to work!" Using emergency lane as new lane for passing.

"Oh my gosh, Why's the traffic so fast?" Doesn't use the merging lane to accelerate. As they are being pushed unto the highway, floors it.

"Choices, choices..." Runs up parallel to merging car

"You only live once" Motorcycle passing between cars where cars are merging.

Am I missing any?

Any chance of sharing said third-party site maybe, possibly ?

There's a chance, yes :)

I'll need to look in the history on my PC when I get home.

Flash drive specifications that exclude read and write speeds. eg,

eg, from sandisk website...

Full Specifications
Capacity
128 GB
Interface
USB 3.0
Connector
USB-A
Compatibility
USB 3.0 (backwards compatible with USB 2.0)
Dimensions (L X W X H)
0.42" x 0.87" x 0.31"
Sequential Read Performance
Up to 100MB/s

Surely the write speed is one of the most important specs, yet it is not in the so called 'full specifications'.... samsung and other manufacturers do this dodgy stuff too.

The Metservice's new look weather page. It sucks! I used to be able to tell at a glance the general weather conditions to expect for the next few days.

I hadn't seen it before, but you're right. It's also not very phone-friendly!

Agreed. I had used the 'beta' of it once, and hated it, and still do. I've been using https://old.metservice.com/ since they've set the new site live.
