Just went to pay a speeding fine for my SO and noticed on the posted and printed infringement notice they've added and extra 0 to their account number for internet banking payments.

Accordingly my intrernet banking app didnt accept it and I had to go to their website to discover they have incorrectly stated their account number on the infringement notice.

...excuse the penmarks i used trying to count the tiny characters

Car dealerships that don't have the basic range of cars they want to sell available for test drive.

They only even seem to have base trim/engine level models as demonstrators, and expect me to 'imagine' the rest.

Thats new. I have had the opposite problem when wanting to test drive. Always the top spec version with all the trimmings. Not always easy to imagine how the lesser version will be, but I get why they want to show you all the bells and whistles.

Not sure what that place are thinking when they only show the basic models (if I read you right).

I've had this experience at Audi, VW and Jaguar dealers in Melbourne recently. Audi dealer suggested they generally have their 'volume' cars as testers (I guess as that's what most are buying, and they can move the demos faster).

They are often (usually) heavily optioned, but it's still a lower base car, often with smaller engines or other features that are not options.

Hyundai was the same when I test drove a Tuscon a few months ago - but I didn't really care about that as I never intended to buy one, they were just giving away a stack of Virgin points for taking a test drive and it was right near my office.

Jaywalkers in heavy urban traffic.

Today during rush hour, an older woman ignored the empty sidewalk behind her, and stood in the road, with her heals against the curb, leaning into traffic.

There was a continuous line of traffic all travelling about 50K in both directions.

Didn't dissuade her though.

I hope she never had children or grand-children, because this kind of jay walking is just stupid.

The aphids on my indoor chilli plants are immune to soapy water spray remedy, 100% resistant to pyrethrum, and are breeding faster than I can scrape/brush/wipe them off.  I'm going to have to use a nuclear option.

Fly spray? The caveat is would that ingest into the plants or not. I know some chemical sprays do that which makes it not an option for food. Im wondering if fly spray can be safely washed off if its just surface acting

Problem solved.  I'd used some old pyrethrum spray, the bottle might have been left in the sun on the bench in the shed.  Found another bottle, mixed up a bit and gave them a spray yesterday, there's not one aphid left alive this morning.

I was amazed how fast those aphids bred/grew.  Wiped and brushed them all off one day, soap sprayed, then checked the next day (or maybe it was two days) and there were more of the little buggers than before - and some of them pretty big.  Just the normal green aphids - not the dark ones that seem to be able to obliterate all your garlic, spring onions, chives etc in the blink of an eye.

Similarly  - in the suburbs of AKL last evening, driving with the family in the car and a woman is ignoring the perfectly empty and well-maintained pavement and is walking (quite a distance from the curb) along the road, talking on her phone and gesticulating wildly...I had to slow and go around here, at which point I gave her a relatively friendly beep to let her know she was an idiot...for which I was rewarded with the fingers and a clear mouthing (I assume shouting) of pleasantries...

This wasn't along Sunset Road on the North Shore was it? I've encountered a woman several times there that fits your description to a tee; ambles along about 1-2 meters out onto the road, ignoring the perfectly good footpath.

When you jump into chat to clarify something about a special on an item and they take SO long, the item has sold out.

That's EXACTLY where it was...

Finding out that the non-sedating antihistamine you used, still has some sedating ingredients, which you are sensitive to, unknowingly, which you only discover after waking the following day and can barely lift your arms and legs

Apollo 11 bluray $9.99US, according to bnz that = $14.49NZ, + gst = $16.66NZ. Actual NZ price $29.

I know, not exactly a new topic, but just thought I'd mention it (again).

Hotels that have rooms with adjoining doors where the doors are so poorly insulated you can hear a pin drop next door through them.
