kingdragonfly: Mentioned it before

1) registering to vote in the US election.

2) the US in general is still stuck in filling out paper forms.

Florida really doesn't want anyone whose not a Republican voting, and make it as difficult as possible.

Even though I followed the extremely complex directions, 4 pages.

I signed it, and even scanned and sent along my old voter's registration card, and two old Florida driver's licences.

Per their instruction, I emailed it to the correct address.

I got back an email some weeks later saying it was incomplete, and needed to be physically signed on paper, and mailed in.

I am going to vote, and it ain't going to be Trump.

Good on you. Democracy requires constant effort. Good that you are prepared to make it.

Wellington bus service I often get a train there is a bus that’s supposed to meet the train it never waits for the train even if the train is a minute late. The bus does it route comes back 15 mins later the driver has a smoke talks to his mates then is 5 mins late on the next run. I have only been complaining to met link for last ten years to ask if the bus could wait , I even asked the driver once he told me he doesn’t get paid enough to do that.

I stepped in a pothole on a summer football pitch two years ago and still can't walk without a limp.

Broken talus, Anterior ankle impingement, achilles tendonitis and a high grade sprain, all at once.

Football is not a game for old men, it appears (not saying you're old...simply shouting at clouds).

Yeah, I know how you feel!

I don't need to be told, I know I'm getting old.

Yup. Daughters are reminding me regularly. Thankfully (okay, not really), son lives in the UK so doesn't remind me as often!

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Living in a hot country and it's freezing. I know I'm soft/spoilt but being under 20 degrees sucks!

You know you're getting old when the morning self check switches from "What hurts?" to "What doesn't hurt?" because it's a shorter list.

Things that annoy me today include:

  • Negativity...why can't people be more optimistic?
  • Combativeness when it's simply not necessary - can we not just leave the aggression at home and be a bit more pleasant to one another?
  • Humidity...clearly it's making people cranky
  • Conflicting priorities - annoying but not life-threatening

Leave the planet?

(Make sure they don't hitchhike with you.)
