I'm currently annoyed by Finance asking for 2021 Budget forecast by COB Monday. On a Friday afternoon, no less.

Jaxson:

Remember my password?:  Yes please, tick box...

Next visit:  What's your password?

Also remember me tickboxes that only remember the username, which is less than a browser can do on its own without the website offering a tickbox. Just let me stay logged in FFS.

Websites that use JavaScript to detect keystrokes and only then enable the 'login' button, stopping any browser/3rd party password manager from being a keyless operation....

Like Geekzone? Well...

We do use Google reCaptcha to test for bots before enabling the login button. This is for security and block password stuffing. Then there's also the 2FA input in the same page which means login couldn't possibly be a keyless operation if 2FA is enabled - which should be, right?

Went to go purchase a subwoofer finally for my home theatre, and discover the model I wanted (svs pb12-nsd) is now no longer available. Now I have to get permission from the boss to get the next model up in the line, almost $1k more in price :-(

No; not Geekzone.

However, there is a small number of sites that I interact with that exhibit the "don't remember login details" behaviour alongside the "must physically strike a key" behaviour, which is just (IMO) obnoxious.  Obviously no 2FA involved on those sites either.

I generally use 2FA when available; so that does normally involve typing.

It just makes it a real pain because it turns logging into GZ a seven-stage process:

Go to logon page.

Enabled google.com in Noscript.

Reload page.

Enable gstatic.com in Noscript (not visible until google.com is enabled).

Reload page.

Disable google domains again.

What about allowing login without having to enable all the Google crap if 2FA was used? I'd be happy to have to fire up Authy to log in if I could avoid the current dance with the Google domains.

Inconsistency in web page credit card auto fill.

Some payment systems get the cardholder name, card number and expiry date, leaving only the CVC blank. Others get the card number but nothing else. Still others get the name and card number but nothing else.

Why can't they all get the same information, on the same computer?!

Take last year's number, add 20% and send it in. Easy.

Some grey suit somewhere will knock off 10% on principle and so you will get a 10% increase.

I'm busy trying to remove % points, rather than add them!

But I do appreciate (and employ) your logic...

Cyclists who insist on having 20,000,000 lumen strobe lights pointing straight ahead.

Why did you hit the cyclist?

I could not see him.

Oh? Really? Yeah, nah.
