The fact that I STILL get this from Air NZ when trying to check my flight credits

"We are holding your booking in credit and are working on functionality to enable you to rebook online. If you urgently need to use your credit please call us."

instead of it actually telling me how much money I have in credit for the booking in question.

Not to discount your frustration, but it is a complex situation, particular if it was international bookings due to how taxes and levies are applied.

All they needed to do is refund the money. They already manage that when they need to (including taxes etc)...so they must have the functionality somewhere.

'Targeted' advertising that's anything but. A retailer just started an email with 'since you're interested in fragrances'. I have never bought a fragrance from them in my life.

Authors who seem to have no idea how people actually converse..

Haha, initially read that as auditors - but them too

I enjoy it when the adbots get it so wrong. It reassures me to know I still have some privacy.

The vendor says that I won't be charged until my order ships. A couple of hours later I realised that I chose the wrong option, so cancelled the unshipped order and placed a second order with the correct options. The money for the first order has already been taken. 24 hours later, they haven't processed the refund yet.

Motherboards that disable SATA ports when you use an M.2 drive.

I didn't think to check and there's always a work around but FFS.

Sending emails and the recipient either not receiving or not noticing said email, then second-guessing yourself as to whether you did actually send it, until you can locate the sent item (not remembering the specific date or subject line doesn't help).

But without it, how would we know who is the awesomest?

The current software on the New World self service kiosks that, at the end of the transaction, while you are packing your items having finished interacting with the device, puts up a prompt on the screen asking if you'd like to print a receipt.  If that wasn't annoying enough, it prints the receipt regardless of whether you press Yes or No.

So, why bother having a prompt at all?

I think they should add a "Please consider the environment before printing a receipt!" banner as well 😜

Same as Pak n Sav - ask if you want a receipt, select NO, and sure enough - NO receipt, but it still prints out the petrol voucher ...

Technically, not a receipt, but still a bit of non-compostable paper ..

Are you paying by credit card? If you are you would normally get two print outs. One is the itemised receipt and the other is the credit card transaction receipt. If you click no you still get the credit card transaction receipt.
