That the book I have been waiting on from the library (since 1902) finally got returned, and the library didn't even fine the inconsiderate person who returned it so late. It's taken so long to get back, I accidentally heard a spoiler for how it ended!

You’re way too impatient - libraries aren’t open at 1902 - it’ll be open again at 0900 - just wait till then. 😁

People who tell me that I am hard to get hold of, as if that is a problem that I should care about or try to make their lives easier when they refuse to email me.

"Your phone number doesnt work" - "I stopped using that one a year ago" - "Oh you didnt tell me" - "I know"

Had basically that at work, from senior management.

We've been required to be present in the office a minimum of 3 days a week because "people are finding it hard to get hold of us".
We have email.  We have phones.  We have Teams.

But no, they'd rather treat our time as far less important than theirs and be able to just "drop round to our desks" and interrupt us whenever they feel like it.

I counter raised that this was disrespectful and disruptive and given the push to turn all the teams into Agile teams, they should really have a better understanding of Context Switching and how disruptive "just dropping round" really was.

You're supposed to be a geek! It's been available as an e-book from Google books for some time.

When someone sends out an all-team email with some useful info in it, and one... person (the same person) always has to reply-all with "cheers" or "thanks for that".

Spoke too soon (Probably) in the What makes you smile thread:

Win10 has just thrust another update on me requiring a restart!

Wonder what this one will break?

Microsoft must know the last update didn't break my setup so forced another one to be sure of breaking the computer!

Wonder how long before it forces you to update?

It waits until you've forgotten the pending reboot request, then does it in the middle of the night when you've left some unfinished work onscreen.

That would involve voluntarily interacting with people.

Handle9: Morons who spread the "plandemic" crap because "who really knows" if it's true.

Idiots.

But, but Bob on YouTube and Mary on Facebook said it so it must be a 'plandemic'.

The apparent total lack of contextual understanding in Apple’s auto correct. It has no idea that its writing rubbish or randomly capitalising.

The fastest chip in a phone, neural network etc and it can’t even write sensible sentences.

What’s the point of all that tech if it can’t do basic things?

When my wife and I text each other (for instance if I am at the supermarket and she is not) we often have utter gibberish in our communication that we need to clarify, thanks to fast fingers and Apple's neural engine being super intelligent.

Busily annoying myself obsessing about overseas orders and tracking. Has it moved, no. Has it moved, no. Has it moved, yes, apparently it moved 4 days ago but they've only just updated tracking info. Has it moved, no. Has it...

I think I miss just going into a shop and buying stuff. Such a pity its usually about $100 more that way.

Bluetooth on my new electric toothbrush? Why?

Please just remove that garbage and reduce the price.
