The Hold Music on a VF call.  Reminds me of early C64 games in terms of "quality".  Seems to be a very badly synthesized version of the chorus only of Sweet Dreams are Made of This.

Supermarket car parks!!!

You try and slowly reverse out of park where you can't see either direction because of high sided vehicles, looking in all all your spots, and some idiot comes flying past at speed!!! Little kids etc wound not stand a chance.

Or when you are driving VERY SLOWLY through the supermarket car park and someone just let the trolley roll out into the way. You toot lightly to let them know and someone, completely unrelated to the situation, assume you are the problem and shout "SLOW DOWN!" as if the idiot who let go the trolley is not the problem.

Likewise exits onto highways where people park right up to the exit on both sides so you can’t see any oncoming traffic in either direction when pulling out. It should be illegal to park closer than 15m to an exit or junction.

it is illegal, from the Road Code . from where you cant park.

  • near a corner, curve, hill, traffic island or intersection, if it will stop other people from seeing along the road

Common sense is not as common as you think.

While we're on driving, drivers who can't/won't accelerate to more than 70kph on a motorway on-ramp.  Annoying and hazardous whether you're already on the motorway or following them on the on-ramp.

on, or closer than 6 metres to, an intersection, unless there are parking spaces or a notice telling you that you can park there

However, something like the exit from a car park isn’t exactly within that definition.

What I'm guessing was your source: Where not to park | Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (nzta.govt.nz)

It's worth quoting the actual law, which the road code isn't:

Parking close to corners, bends, etc

(1)

A driver or person in charge of a vehicle must not stop, stand, or park the vehicle on any part of a roadway so close to any corner, bend, rise, dip, traffic island, or intersection as to obstruct or be likely to obstruct other traffic or any view of the roadway to the driver of a vehicle approaching that corner, bend, rise, dip, traffic island, or intersection unless the stopping, standing, or parking is authorised by signs or markings maintained by the road controlling authority.

(2)

A driver must not stop, stand, or park a vehicle on any part of a road, whether attended or unattended, within an intersection or within 6 m of an intersection unless the stopping, standing, or parking is authorised by signs or markings maintained by the road controlling authority.

My wife bought some guacamole the other day. I detest it but she likes the green Devil’s brew.

I was irritated to see it labelled as “plant based”. Is there a meat based version and if so where?

Bought stuff is totally yuk - but home-made is (can be) brilliant.

Agreed. I've never had Guac in a container purchased that was what I consider to be edible. Home made stuff is the only way to go.

Poorly designed surveys, like the one below from Porirua City Council.  I haven't been to any of these in the last year but there is no option for none.
