Additionally, also a lesson learned to verify the address. The address the person gave me was 19b, and according to the NZ post address finder there is no 19b at that address, just 19, 1/19, 2/19, 3/19 etc. I did actually check when posting to make sure I had the correct spelling and postcode etc, but I perhaps foolishly assumed the person knew their own address so didn't query it. In hindsight, if the address on NZ post doesn't match what the person says, it probably pays to double check with them. I did put my return address on it so maybe there's a chance it gets returned to me if the address was wrong.

Seeing what people put in the freeform address field on works website I can understand why so many sites have address pickers that dont allow for that.

Everything put on one line and then

Auckland

Auckland

Auckland

in the last 3 lines is common.

Let's not forget about the old classic Ferrero Rocher while we're talking about balls :P.

They're OK.  I'm not that fussed on crunchy nuts.

Leaving phone on train, tracking phone, and realising return journey means waiting at station for nearly an hour while hoping using notifications that the phone has been passed to train manager and will be on return journey.

Good news. Phone was in cabin with driver and train manager retrieved it for me. Apple’s Find My worked well.

Covid scan codes in taxi cabs.  I travelled in several taxis over the last few days and they all had the printed sheet in the passenger seat pocket meaning another surface that every passenger has to commonly touch.

How hard would it be to attach it ot the back of the head rest and the front of the glovebox putting it right where you can see it and scan it?

When they have people commentating on sports that don't know much if anything about the sports itself. Hard to believe they couldn't find qualified commentators.

Any man should be able to comment knowledgeably about a sport he's only just encountered for the first time. "And Blatz has totally messed up that shot, he's clearly offside behind Florblewurtz there as you can see from the goalkeeper arguing with the umpire, and sportsball was the winner on the day".

Sadly verbosity and hype is more important these days rather than informed expert commentary.

Or they might have to actually pay a qualified commentator.

I had a full toner recycling box and a $20k phone system ready to go out for actual recycling. Someone took it upon themselves to throw both out in the general waste.

Sums them up quite well doesn't it - marketing and branding is more important than customers and service.
