<context>I've spent the last 8 weeks in bed after an accident turned my leg bones into 10-20 pieces  </context>

peeing standing up (yes laides it is an essential thing for guys to do - sitting down is no where near as comfortable).

Hugging my wife, with an arm around her waist, standing up (got to do that today after 8 weeks)

That is not minor thing, it is major!

I had a normally fatal stroke 2 1/2 years ago and lost my RHS so had to sit to pee for quite a while.

(First "live one" my Neurologist had seen in 28 years)

You are so right...peeing standing up again was a milestone remembered well.

I avoided the anti-thread because there were just so many things. There are also a lot of things that lift me to exalted regions and any one would do the trick. Here is just one: On a miserable day in South Auckland, my car died and I had to find an immediate replacement because I had children with me. I pulled into a car auction site and I saw a young woman driving out. I will never forget the look of radiant joy on her face. She was driving some kind of SUV-type vehicle that didn't appeal to me at all, but it was clear from her expression that she had just bought the car of her dreams. I don't know what good or bad times followed that moment for her, but right then she was in Heaven. Isn't it wonderful how a mere object can bring someone such joy?

Sitting outside on a hot sunny day drinking a cold beer.

The three hardest things to say: 1. I was wrong, 2. I need help, 3. Worcestershire sauce.

....
After mowing the lawns or chopping firewood or...

an earned beer.

Being in Auckland City and just walking the streets - Queen Street in particular.

I'd go futher and say, whilst in bed at night when it's cold and you have a nice warm blanket, and you are reading a good book.

Second, Music, unsure if I could live without it.

The link I have with my Son (We are like twins), where he and I can communicate without words, or he or I complete a sentence for each other. He is Six and it's been like that since before he could talk :)

I had a wonderful day at the beach yesterday with friends. It was just perfect.

I can't work out if you are being sarcastic or not, but regardless, yes I consider myself very fortunate.

Answered questions.

I explain: when people ask me: "Can I ask you a silly question?" I reply: "There is no such thing like "silly question", there are times when it is not that easy to find the answer...".. Happy when questions are answered - mine or yours....
