I don't mind more movie where it is justified. However, as has been alluded, a lot of it seems to be padding of one form or another.

I suppose we should be grateful Jackson didn't do Revenant. The first film would only have got as far as the boat escape - we'd have to wait another 2 years for the rest of the story...!money-mouth

I remember watching starwars the phantom menace when the pod racing started and thinking "OK here is the computer game tie in"

On a recent rewatch the pod racing was a brief redeeming action sequence in the utter trainwreck that was Episode 1.

Would have been better if they have just removed any lines that wooden child actor Anakin had in there.

Best example I've seen in the last few years of this; The Wolf of Wall Street. Started well, then it just dragged on, and on.

Just shows how we are all different. One of my favourite movies of recent times.

I remember watching it and thinking "you have to be kidding" when that Jar Jar Binks thing appeared. Interestingly, I watched all 3 on release and to this day have never watched them again nor could I tell you what happened in them. Yet the first 3 films to come out 1977 onwards I must have seen literally dozens of times. Just shows how underwhelmed by the middle 3 I was.

Pod Race? DOn't remember. Jar Jar Binks - star wars? oh ... yeah ... that's why I wished I hadn't spent my nine hours on the prologue!
