Does anybody here have any experience with cat trackers?
Just interested to see if anybody does.

Our little fur ball is growing up and exploring further and further away from the house.
To ensure he comes back unscathed it would be nice to be able to find him..

I've seen there are different types of trackers, those that are based on radio signals (and require a handheld device that can receive the signal), or those that are based on SIM cards.

Something like this: http://pawtrack.com/

The area where we live has got very poor mobile coverage due to it being wedged in between a few hills so I'm afraid the latter isn't going to work for us.

Made me look into dog ones - we are looking at adopting a greyhound and wondered if something similar for dogs, found this article.

Also found this one for cats and dogs.

Looked at the various pet trackers on Amazon, they seem to either be US specific or else from the reviews just plain crap.

To be honest, you should weaponise your cat and stalk the neighbour's WiFi. You can then tell when the cat has gone, by who has had their network mapped. This talk from Defcon 22 shows you how.

All the reviews I have read say these are the best. I would get them for my dogs but at $300 each thats a little up there.

I'd like something like this for our cat, but they are all too big and bulky for your average feline.
