When it is almost Christmas and you can recall about 3 events for the entire year.

Or in the case of my FIL who reads the death notices in the paper every day, turned up at a funeral to pay last respects to an old school friend he hadn't seen for 70 years, was probably eating his third sausage roll at the after-match function when it dawned on him that the real reason he didn't recognise a single person there was that two people could have the same name...

He probably still had a good time though - suasy rolls and club sandwiches at funerals are great - also the tea made in those massive teapots.
