A bit like people who say "tomorrow morning at 9 AM"!
Geektastic: A passenger travelling from Australia to Wellington said they felt as though they were “sea-sick on a boat”
As opposed to seasick on what? A camel?
Sea-sick on a floatplane.

Assuming this was a passenger on an aircraft then adding the extra "on a boat" would emphasis the point, "I was on a plane but felt like I was on a boat".

As far as I can work out, this guy was just a club cricketer - never played for NZ or even his province. Appears like click bait to me.

When wanting to add to something, Mrs Code always says: “Also too, ….”.
I, the inveterate pedant, dare not point out the redundancy in this.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Maybe it's "Also, 2." as in, here is the second point to your topic.

Thanks for explaining "plethora".
It means a lot.
$600K discount: Home with no code of compliance sells for just over half its RV
NZHerald - Oneroof 5 Aug 23.
As far as I know the phrase “code of compliance” is a nonsense, although commonly used. A house will be issued with a Certificate of Code Compliance once it has been inspected and meets the required NZ building regulations (codes). Just the removal of the word “of” would make it more accurate, but even then the subject house may be 90% code compliant but can’t get a certificate because of the other 10%.
Edit: Pedantic yes. But now apply that lack of accuracy to every article in the newspaper……..

I do a lot of work with builders, and Code of Compliance is routinely used in the industry, even if it's not technically correct.
I've not looked into it, but it could be a historic name. E.g. Approved Handlers for hazardous substances are now called Certified Handlers for some reason. Change for the sake of it?

No - it’s OK - the forensic examination, which presumably belonged to the police, has been returned to them. 😁

By “builders”, I assume you mean Licensed Building Practitioners? 😁

Change for the sake of everyone with the old qualification / certificate having to pay again to recertify for the new one!

In same cases it's due to changes in regulations where the name change matches the change in requirements.
