Behodar: Nothing wrong with taking showers. Nothing wrong with taking baths either. But taking toilets just makes you a thief!

Don't you love English? :)

Taking toilet breaks the trend?

I hope so - I just took a toilet break and would like to think I'm trendy.

Not exactly a headline, but wow – I would've thought John Banks would be delighted to have a wealthy, world-famous golfer as his son.

That's so unbelievable - I thought you'd made it up!

However

Direct link now replaced by a baa-ing sheep (could that be Banks' son?) but still works via Google.

Stuff headline: How to find the hidden mouse on your iPhone

Complete article text: There are several ways to edit text quickly on an iPhone. But the best way involves a feature that is literally under your fingers any time you type.

Presumably someone hit "publish" a little too enthusiastically!

I don't want to know how these two spawn:

Unfortunately I've now refreshed the page and the correct video has loaded :-( https://www.stuff.co.nz/environment/94324087/rare-footage-of-crayfish-spawning-captured-off-the-wellington-coast.

Bouquets where deserved:

Vatican rocked: Police raid drug-fuelled gay orgy at cardinal's apartment

Great headline IMO.  AFAICT, though the original story came from a possibly dodgy source, Il Fatto Quotidiano, it looks like someone at NZ Herald created the headline.

Yes - it's sensational/click-bait, but quite a story.

Somehow found myself in this corner of the internet again, Saw NZH have a live video of the americas cup thingi on the waterfront. Cool!

Would help if it didnt lag every 2 seconds with a 1 second gap. Only 336 watchers.. Pathetic!

A spell checker would pass coats as a real word. The problem is the elimination of sub-editors and journalists not bothering to edit their own copy. Spell checkers can't do everything.

Here's a good example of the above:

"The bodies of Marcelin and Francine Dumoulin were found perfectly preserved and wearing WW11-era clothing."

I didn't realise there had been at least eleven world wars.
