just move in a new place and looking for a chair for my fat butt sitting in front of the monitor most of day,,,,

would it fun to see what chair you guys have,

where do you normally buy chairs by the way? warehouse stationary? target? pk?

keen to see what is out there,

I've always been a fan of the Haworth Zody. I've used it in a few jobs I've had in Oz and NZ. Very comfortable and heaps of configs.

+1 on the Life Chair - I managed to pick one up that was being thrown away and know the NZ distributor - noticed a difference in my back over night.

Considered standing?

I have a tall desk (actually a small rectangular table with shortened legs stacked on to of my L shaped desk) and an Architect's Chair (a super-tall gas lift chair). I'll spend half an hour to an hour standing then then a similar time sitting, switching as I feel the need. I've been doing that for about a year now and would be reluctant to go back to sitting only. It has not made a difference to my waistline.

I've read that standing all day is not necessarily much better than sitting all day, and find the variety is good. I'm more inclined to pace a little when on a call (get the blood flowing) and don't have to be in front of the screen, where previously I might do a 6 hour stretch without getting off my butt.

Its never set to be in a fixed position, which does wonders for my back. Sitting in a fixed (and bad) chair can really wreck my back really quickly.

i maybe maybe use it for like 2 hours everyday and 4-8 during weekend, sometime i enjoy just sit back and watch a movie on my computer. my tv is in bedroom, i find it kinda diffcult nowadays to finish watching a movie lying on bed lol

I've been using warehouse stationery chairs for the last 12 years or so and my back is sweet and I find them very comfortable with excellent lumbar support on some models.
