Reinstalled a fresh copy of win10 and office for a friend who had so much bloatware a 'new' (1YO) laptop was crawling on 4gb ram and an SSD 🙄

Just wish laptops could come with a 'would you like a clean install OR take your chances with trial software" option... Or even just let their 'factory reset' image be the clean option for people who know better...?

I let NZ Geographic know that 5 copies of the July/August edition ended up in my mailbox.  They don't want them back, I've given a couple of copies away - if anybody wants one - then PM me and I'll post you a copy as my good deed for tomorrow.

Edit:

Gone now.

A car was at a set of lights in Takanini and not moving, everyone was going around them tooting and yelling out "advice" I pulled to go around him and noticed he was slumped over the steering wheel. I pulled a quick U-turn and approached the drive who was completely unresponsive, engine running etc.

The first thing I did was remove the keys from the ignition then, not being able to see the chest moving up and down, and being unresponsive to voice and touch felt for a pulse, fortunately there was one there but even that touch didn't wake him. I called the ambulance and got them on the way. Unfortunately as I was attending to him I noticed a drug use type pipe in his hand, I then removed the keys from the car and put them on the boot. I checked his pulse again and this time he woke up momentarily, while on the phone I made a call to ask the call taker to get the police on their was as I suspected drug use. Long story short the ambulance arrived in about 10 min, the police about 5 min later. Over that time I had bottles and abuse thrown at me constantly. Because I had removed the keys I had to stay and make a statement to that effect.

I don't know what happened to the guys apart from being taken away but it scares me to think that when he regained consciousness he would have been on the motorway and likely killed someone.

Thinking about it later I realised that I had actually put myself in a really dangerous position as I didn't know what the guy was on or what his reaction was going to be if he had regained consciousness either while I was assessing him or when he realised his keys were gone.

DRSABCD.  You missed the first D (danger), but otherwise nailed everything else.  Well done.  One of few people who actually bother to stop to provide assistance rather than just hurling abuse at someone daring to inconvenience them.

Danger usually refers to environmental, and in all honesty i did consider this in my discussion to stop. Then the consideration was how my girlfriend would react if I didn't stop as she is a paramedic.
