Trademe doesn't even have the balls to respond anymore, I took the two email snapshots of the plates being taken down as well in my evidence attachment. Printed out the whole ordeal in writing and signed it, will be headed to the police station this avro or tomorrow morning. I will get my money back and have him put in jail the lest, people like these deserve to be slowly amputated without anesthesia.

in other news, I am having some new tyres main frighted to me! :D

There's no doubt he's a terrible trader, and it's definitely possible you have been scammed. However, he's only had your money for 5 days. If we all went to the police station everytime it took longer than 5 days for someone to send a TM item, the police would be inundated with TM complaints.

By the way, his bad feedback suggests people usually get their items, albeit late, and not as described lol.

Lol.

But yea I get what you are saying and fully agree, even a couple days ago I bought something and the seller said he will post it next week, and I am fine with that, But this guy...specially after I read his feedback and then he sent it with a imaginary tracking number, something didn't feel right, lets see what comes out of it. I am heading to the police tomorrow, besides consider this way, another reason for the police to investigate crimes other then traffic, I mean where I am right now, you just call the police saying there may be a drunk driver and you have 5 cop cars all racing by to see who can collect some revenue. Lol..call them when neighbors get burgled, wont show up for a week.

PetAT: Trademe doesn't even have the balls to respond anymore....

In fairness to Trade Me, this was not a Trade Me transaction - it was done outside of the Trade Me process, thus depriving them of sellers fees, and you of their protection/consideration.

no info available. i've been ripped off guys and the guys walking free to rip somebody else. :(

anybody in auckland who can grab some tyres for me tomorrow?

One last suggestion maybe - call the NZ Post guys and check if that Tracking number even exist on their system.

There are some post shops in some rural areas and even in Auckland that are half barber shops and do very basic postal activities. I have in the past observed that they don't track their tickets online - however when you call they do come up on their systems. I know this is long shot but suggest you call once to confirm with them.

I posted something with a tracking number on it a few weeks ago from an agency. The online tool didn't show anything until it was delivered... and the only tracking point it showed was the actual delivery! Poor form from NZ Post.

Point taken however one may argue it would had been no different if gone through them, argument would be that TradeMe has provided a known defrauding seller with a platform where they have previously and continue to defraud people. Secondly their seller whom insists on making the purchase outside trademe as shown through email records, and if we are to consider past actions as an indicator of measurement or expectations of ones future behaviors, then after wronging over 200 other people doing his "trades" we can conclude trademe should least ensured this member would complete some of his transactions instead of listing new ones, specially of parts he may or may not have in possession.

I guess I could wait till the end of next week to hand anything over and I did call the NZ post people with the operator saying this tracking number is not in their system. So dubious..

I got 1 Tyre, has 3mm,  I guess he did what you said he did, stalling me till he could get them or something..them blamed the nz post dairy for the delay, has 3 more coming my way this week, but I wont be using them so I listed them back up on trademe for sale... now could also be the guy is honest and telling the truth and its his feedback that has put me, you and others off, but who knows, got a few emails from him too now, since trademe pressured him... first said the tracking didn't work due to postshop/dairy, then 2 days later the dairy had'nt processessed the rest of the 3 tyres..oh well..dont matter now I guess, I wont report him or anything...letting it go as long as I get my stuff, maybe sell them off.. :)

He apparently left them at the NZ Post shop / dairy who delayed processing it and he sent me 1 tracking number that started working a couple day or so after, I also got 3 more tracking numbers from him,

yea believe it or not, they apprently do send tyres, oversized, just wraped with papers and a sticker was enough for them to send it! good on the guy actually. just only he didn't delay in communication so much poor guy, I overall lost about $50 in all this, and ended up buying new trres.

mainfright costs about $50 to ship them, not sure how much nz post wants.

his tyre wasn't bad either actually, quite acceptable, I am happy he has followed through.

anybody want some tyres now? $350 for 4x michelin 245/45R/17... about 4mm tred left..lol

So...he went from being someone you were all set to race off to the Police about, to being a good trader, despite only sending 1 of the 4 items you ordered?

Sam91:

There's nothing to suggest that the number is fake. NZ Post's tracking is average, I wouldn't expect it to be tracked yet. Sure, they don't ship tyres as a general rule, but if it's in a box and under the maximum weight, he could be using NZ Post.

Sam91:
I agree they should've been sent earlier, but it hasn't been that long to be honest. I thought it had been a few weeks at least. That's why I asked the question. Payment probably appeared on Monday, so it's definitely too early to accuse him of acting fraudulently.

; )

Glad it's worked out for you.

funny aint it? He apparently had the 3 other tyres sent 3 days after the first, the first tyre got here today, trademe got back to me today, and well he gave me 3 more tracking numbers, which will likely arrive this week..lol.. I would had raced after him if he didn't keep his end of the bargain.
