Since a week ago, every time I open Fastnet classic on a computer (pc or mac), the settings menu is always dropped down and won't retract. Also, the tree menus on the left side of the page are all expanded and won't contract. Have tried multiple browsers, OS and tried clearing cache, cookies, etc, etc (see pic below)

Any ideas or fixes?

Also just tried it, with no problems.

It sounds like the page isn't loading fully, or an error is occurring loading the page.

I know you've cleared the cache, but maybe a force refresh (CTRL+F5) might sort out the issue.

As a troubleshooting step you might see if there are any javascript exceptions or similar logged in the console?

  • Hit F12 in your browser to bring up developer tools.
  • Select the "Console" tab
  • Log in to ASB banking.
  • note any messages that appear

Thanks. Forced refresh doesn't do anything and when I check the console it says:

What browsers have you tried?

Have you used the latest chrome and firefox releases (not beta builds)

Try a different Internet connection to a different ISP. If your ISP uses a cache server. It may have out of date content in its cache. Try a VPN if you don't have access to a different connection.

Is your ISP Vodafone by any chance?

Tried IE, Edge, Chrome and Safari, all up to date. Win 10, 7 and OSX. Tried at work and home, different ISPs. Turned Unotelly on and off.

Same result...

I got an email to say they were updating their websites, so that could be the issue too. I have tried logging into mine, and I don't have the problem, but my drop down menu is in two columns, and yours in only in one. The problem is contacting these companies about the problem is not a good experience from my experiences, and you can end up wasting a lot of time.

Nothing should be able to be cached since its a https site and I dont see that mixed content warning on it.

Also another vote for works for me.

Would sure hope not, But since OP hadn't said in their first post if they were using a work computer. As the boss could have added a private certificate authority to the work computer. Then a caching server would be able to terminate the TLS tunnel, cache, do any snooping of the content, create a new TLS tunnel to the users browser. Of course easy to see if this is going on by checking the cert details of some https websites.

OK so Fastnet CS got straight back to me which I was impressed by. I had a screen reader turned on somehow which was causing all the menus to be permanently expanded. There was a small link on the page, partially hidden by the settings menu, to turn it off (you can just see it in the screenshot in the OP). Works fine now :)
