Firstly would love to thank @michaelmurfy for the organic master filters he very kindly sent to me free of charge. It saved me $17, Given he sent me 3 filters id like to offer my time on a weekend to put one in for someone for free around Devonport to Albany.

But keeping on topic, As I promised MM i would show him my VDSL install. (Yes it tops anything chorus could even manage to achieve) Outstanding workmanship and attention to detail has been observed by myself. Record installation time with amazing efficiency is one of my key factors.

*Please note this is just a temp connection at a flat im living in. Its not intended to look nice or even work more than a few weeks. Also Michael, DONT send that shredded wood stuff to your clients, It went everywhere.

I saw that bit in your OP but ignored it.. aren't you all being an appreciate sparkie now? Have they not taught you to do it once, do it right?

If it was only temporary and meant to be done cheaply, why did you bother with the rj45? jack there and not just splice it straight in?

Sounds like you need @coffeebaron to install that filter at the ETP ;) Shredded wood came from Outram just for you. It ensures the master filters arrive fresh.

I'd recommend trying the Chatham Island sourced master filter. This has been tested to get the best speeds.

I honestly was going to do that but remembered that I only had one rj11 cable. Last time I did this at my last house didn't end well. Plus I just raided bits we were throwing out from jobs. RJ45 key stone and 15m of cat5e. Scotch locks were free. As with the modem from Vodafone days.
Oh yeah also thanks bigpipe for the free month. Making myself out to be bit of a free loader here.

Thanks for the laugh, guys.

Are the net curtains acting as wifi concentrators, Tim?? Maybe they filter out the neighbours' crap?

Potentially works as opposite. It just ended up there cause the rj45 cable to the camera I have isn't long. And the cat5e cable comes in through the window up next to it.

Behodar: I hope those filters are free range and shade-grown!

Yes they've been grown in their ideal moisture-free environment. As free range as a master filter can be.

Is that a windows network? Some of them filters are such a pane to install in a windows environment.

Excellent work @michaelmurfy and @TimA. I needed a laugh this morning. One thing I'm confused about though...

Are Araki Farms organic filters tested or not tested?
