Wild Wild Country on Netflix.
Not sure if younger people would identify with how "big" this was at the time. It was front page news even in NZ - there was even a Rajneesh commune in Murchison. After watching all 6 episodes, I'm completely unsure about whether the Bhagwan or Sheela were 100% con-artist or prophets, good or bad, whether the locals affected were morons or wise, the officials were genuinely caring or hysterical reactionaries, or whether any of those things really matter and the whole thing was a massive media beat up.
This was one of the most unbelievable (but true), fascinating documentaries I've seen in a long time.

+1 for Kedi. I just saw it and it is a lovely celebration of catness. Also an enjoyable peek at Istanbul from a different perspective.

The China Hustle. its about con men selling investments in "up and coming" Chinese companies that just aren't. I just kept thinking of Fontera while watching it.
Kiss the Ground, very interesting documentary about how agriculture could be leveraged to help reduce the impacts of climate change, through farmers switching to no-till farming.

Hillbilly: Beyond the stereotypes in the heart of US’s Appalachia, Appalachian filmmaker returns home to examine the media’s stereotyping of hillbillies and the American cultural divide. (1080p)

The highlight for me was an interview with the banjo playing boy on the porch in that famous movie.

Nobody can deliver a wildlife programme better than Sir David Attenborough
"Death to 2020" is a hilarious mockumentary that says the truth. 8/10 on Netflix.

Corner Shop. Palestinian has emigrated to USA without his family and works 17 hour days at his San Francisco corner dairy. He returns to his home in occupied Bethlehem for the first time in many years to prepare his family for emigration. Prime Video.
Watched on the train this morning. VICE News on a road trip through Texas to ask conservative voters something conservative politicians can’t seem to figure out: what's the future of the GOP?
This reinforces what we already know, politics in USA is no longer about issues, it's a cultural division.
And it's division so entrenched, it cannot be fixed. It will be the end of the US within 10 years (my opinion).
