A Donald Trump in the making?

Lets hope not, I think we've had enough of his father in charge. The future will not look good if he can reach the level of power and influence Johnny boy has.

Looks fine to me. Better than the present alternatives for sure!

MikeB4: Storm in a key cup

I see what you did there! Very clever.

But I agree, if anyone out of the public eye have said this would it be news?

Heh, you just beat me to it.

Seems some people just love to get upset over every little thing. I think they are addicted to their righteous indignation!

And labouring under the delusion that their opinions actually matter in the great scheme of things.

Well he got ticked off by his Dad, apologised and said there would be no repeat of the behavior. Case closed. Let's move on.

I don't know if it's always been like this or only noticing it now.  My teenage daughter no longer wants to go running as on every occasion she gets honked or shouted at. This is in a high socio-economic part of the North Shore to boot - Max Key types or just anyone thinks it's acceptable behaviour?

Yeah, I can imagine that would be unpleasant for her, I do think this type of behavior (catcalling etc) is not acceptable.

I remember significant worse happening when I was a kid...

Not sure why we are so sensitive these days...imo better to teach kids how to deal with bullies and unpleasantries rather than complain and want to legislate against everything we dont like. Maybe it is a direct result of social media.

He is an odious little creep.

So it's not ok for him to be rude and insulting but it's ok for you to be?

So, it's not acceptable, but we should all just ignore it? Because it's JK's son? Because he's famous?

Yes. We should ignore it, mostly because he has apologized and said he won't do it again.

One more time, if this was some kid on the street would we be having this conversation? Nope.

OK - please explain what appropriate reaction to that form of harassment should be, there seem to be only two options - "put up with it" or remove yourself from putting yourself in situations where such things might happen.
Neither of those are remotely acceptable solutions IMO.

Enough of that "so sensitive these days" BS.

Mocking abject fools who behave like the PM's son is a step in the right direction.

I'm inclined to agree, but for me there is still a line, but it's a lot further along in the sand than some people.

Except that if joking isn't allowed, mocking most definitely shouldn't be allowed :)
