Rikkitic:

My question: If margins are so thin why are NZ prices so high?

If I had to guess:

1. High rate of GST

2. High freight costs from point of manufacture

3. High cost of labour

4. Strong legal rights for consumers, eg. C.G.A., F.T.A. increase risk

Oh and don't forget, everything else (that you need to do business) is relatively expensive in New Zealand - so it's a feedback loop ;)

The middlemen.

Swype on iOS is detrimental to accurate typing. Apologies in advance.
