Rescue teams later found his body in the pool but abandoned attempts to retrieve it due to the decreasing light available, the danger to themselves and an approaching lightning storm.

The following day, workers were unable to find any significant remains in the boiling water.

"In a very short order, there was a significant amount of dissolving," Mr Veress said.

Wow! Overnight! I wonder what's in that water? Oops, I mean I wonder what *was* in the water before he fell in?

Authorities are still trying to determine the reason for a sudden surge in interest in holidays to Yellowstone Many of the potential visitors say that romantic evening walks amongst the geysers are a must-do, and that they're bringing their mothers-in-law.

"The accident was recorded by the victim's sister on her mobile phone, the incident report says."

Dont even know what to say to that.

"Ms Scott was recording a video of her brother on the phone as he reached down to test the water, before he slipped and fell in."

Rough call here but, Natural selection?

MikeB4:

Come on guys, someone lost their life.

Exactly, and their own sister witnessed it. That would have been horrible.

But where do you draw the line? They ignored signs and warnings. Then had the insanity to approach a scalding pool of water, Im sure every last little bit of instinct in your body would be saying no. It must have been to hot dissolve a body. Either that or acidic and hot.

My condolences for the Sister though.
