Oh yeah that thing.  When you list a car you get to put a start price (for auction) and a price for the classified, but it's the separate 'cars value' price that is used for filtering search results.

 

 

 

Which leads to knobs doing exactly what you are saying, putting their sale price at $15,000 but entering the value at $7,000 so it shows up in lower search results that may otherwise have excluded it.

 

You know, for people who don't want to see cars at that higher price in the first place?!...
