Playtech must have the most misleading easter sale ever!!! 15% off almost everything!!! (in their words). Woohoo!! I get it , noone discounts apple stuff so they need this disclaimer.

I add an intel nuc, memory, and a mobo to my cart, enter the code..... and NOTHING qualifies!!! Have I found the only 3 products not on sale?

Heading to the very small fine print.......

Sale excludes : Products not in stock, Products already on sale, CPU, System Memory, Motherboard, Graphics card, HDD/SSD, Custom Desktop PC, Laptop PC, Apple Branded Product, Software and Game, Bundle Package Deal, Game Points and Gift Voucher Cards & Technical Service.

ie, the sale excludes just about everything playtech customers would want to buy.

Is it just me who thinks this is a rubbish sale?

Ha ha maybe but in my experience relevant bodies effectively ignore all complaints. Especially ones against smaller operations like playtech.

I instantly tried the code on a GTX 1070 when I got the mailer.

Had a bit of a chuckle when I found out that the sale excludes all items to actually build a PC.

What's actually included? Is "find the items actually on sale" some kind of easter hunt?

Would've been a shorter list to just name the items that are on sale rather than the exclusions foot-in-mouth

Screen capture as much as you can, zip it up and lodge a complaint to the Commerce Commission. The fair trading division is obviously busy, but if you hand them everything they need they may take action, particularly if they are looking to make an example.

Shame NZ retailers.

This is the sort of 'sale' behavior that pushes my shopping offshore.

Happy to support local if it doesn't include an absolute fisting.

Which comes under the heading "General indifference to their customers" that does it for me.

No no you're all wrong...the lack of get is the _only_ reason people don't buy from NZ retailers.

That is absolutely pathetic. Of the products required to build a PC from scratch, the only things that would actually be on sale would be the case, power supply, monitor and peripherals.

Did someone screenshot this and send it to CC?

I think it requires follow up.
