Sometimes it makes me laugh a bit when they get so high and mighty over biosecurity. I understand their point, but so many places exist and flourish with no biosecurity (all of Europe for a start) and they are just fine - and the fact remains that

Goats

 

Wheat

 

Potatoes

 

Peas

 

Carrots

 

Peanuts

 

Rice

 

Salmon

 

Trout

 

Camels

 

Cats

 

Mustelids

 

Rye Grass

 

Pigeons

 

Hedgehogs

 

Rabbits

 

 

 

are just a few things which have been introduced to Australia. Destroying some plants like this is so much a case of locking the stable door after the horse has bolted it is not funny.
