I knew from the start that the whole "gallery promo" was to trick people into something not good.

Gut feeling was right - Trademe have started charging unsuspected sellers for when they relist closed auctions using Quick Relist buttons.

You will not realize that what you were doing as a routine - "quick relist" - will now come with unwanted option - "the gallery" - 0.55 per every auction relisted.

Already emailed them..

Sellers beware...

I had this problem too. You have to really keep an eye on the amount it tries to charge you prior to pressing the quick list button. A good reason to keep your balance at a minimum because if you have 25 listings, you would get charged $12.50 on quick relist. The gallery function I have found isnt worth it anyway because it only affects desktop viewers. Any mobile or app users will already see a thumbnail image without needing to pay extra.

They really need a quick and easy way to remove add-ons because currently the only way is to manually remove it from reach listing.

What is the percentage split between mobile & desktop users? If it's 80% desktop, surely it would be worth it?

I believe about 60 percentage of normal website traffic these days is mobile. Probably a lot higher for sites that have an app

Trademe have refunded gallery listings as requested. Appreciate their response. Good job.

This has been the case for years so I stopped using quick relist for that reason.

It's only an issue again because of a another free gallery promotion. The same thing happened six months earlier:
