WOW this turned judgmental much.

Yeah my kids are super active teens, but also eat junk food...one of them is obsessed with mountain biking, so he'd make good use of the bike racks.

No judgement here.

Mark:

I was chuckling today after learning that there are still dial-up internet users and that the kit to support them still exists!

I bet they're not...!

Dyson stick vac.

Who knew that vacuuming could become one of life's simple pleasures?

Except when you accidentally open the hatch when taking the capsule off to empty. It is alarming how mad that can can make you.

Mine will open with just picking it up when the long pipe and foot are on it. The barrel flexes enough that it lets go. I would put my dyson purchases in the other thread about annoying.

That today I (we) in light of events over the last month have made the decision to no longer be in the workforce self employed or employed even though I am too young for retirement income. I (we) have decided concentrate on having the best quality of life that I can achieve for the time remaining what ever that may be. So I take down my shingle

and get rid of my last suit.  It is surprising how just that decision has lightened the load, lightened my heart and mind. So now to think of a new signature for here.

I was able to get hold of a couple of Dual 10GbE Intel SFP+ NICs that the IT people gave me for "final disposal" ;-) - which I took care of immediately.

Today I handed over a big basket of fine brewery beers (for beer tasting) in return for "final disposal" as well.

Putting the waste from the kitchen bin into the red bin outside, I see our son's thrown out the framed portrait of himself given to him by presumably and hopefully now an ex-girlfriend. Nope - I'm not an interfering parent or mean old bastard.  I never said a word.

This isn't small for me, but small in the grand scheme of things. Today I played my first "real" match of squash without any hestitation in my movement. No pain. Two years of fighting this knee injury. Here's hoping I can stay fit.

Having a proper adult night out with friends we don't see often enough.

Not enjoying the hangover though...
