This is the description for an episode of Hoarders. Obviously the poor woman has mental health issues but I still had to laugh at the wonderful human capacity for embracing completely irrational and contradictory ideas. 

Got (not accidently) an annual incentive from my company for 2021 despite I left it end of the last year. ;-) wow

I had a similar surprise many years ago. I handed my resignation to my boss one morning. She refused to accept it and and told me to hold on to it until later in the afternoon and come back and see me her 5pm. Just after lunch we all get summonsed to a town hall meeting where its announced that we'd just lost a major contract and it was necessary to downsize. Voluntary redundancies were being sought before mandatory cut backs would be implemented. 

Went back to my boss at 5pm and she just handed me the redundancy application form already signed by her. I'd only been with the company for 5yrs so it wasn't like winning the lottery but it was still a nice little kick at just 24yrs old.

Scam texts telling me that "$2000" will be paid from my account....at a bank I have never banked with in my life.

I was in two minds about whether to put this in Annoys or Smile. I fumigated the house for cockroaches this morning. Annoy because of how many there were. Smile because they're dead.

Was at the gas station and a kid dropped her toy from the door when filling up, gave it back and when I had paid and was getting into my car she handed me a quick drawing of her smiling.  "With masks on now no one can see if we are happy or sad easily, and getting bertie back made me happy so I drew this for you to see"

Simple gesture but a great way to start your day I reckon
