First time I got on one, I didn't believe we were going so quick, so I pulled out my smartphone, enabled GPS, and sure enough 298kmph. Crazy. Amazing. Awesome.

What is it like looking out the side windows at that speed, I hate it in a car, I am not saying my wife drives that fast it just feels like it. Nausea soon sets in. My wife loves the high speed trains in China.

Just like flying except the seats, in First at least, are much more comfortable and the train stays on the ground.

My wife, who commutes, is now very sad that she has to return to the Wairarapa Line train.....!

My dog! He's really small and snores like a trooper and farts in his sleep, but really makes me laugh!

If only dogs could talk about their owners.

One of our dogs would sniff the air and leave the room if someone farted.

I learned that people attending the World of Wearable-arts (WOW) festival in Welly are known colloquially as WOWsers.

Or pram, mobility scooter, crutches, walking frame, walking stick - or even on foot if you're feeling a bit dizzy.

I noticed a particular bike shop in Welly is getting quite shocking at this.

I asked Godfrey’s nicely, then rudely, then took matters into my own hands when they kept putting their “sale” sign over the footpath, blocking the only way without going into blackberry bush or onto the road with the push chair. I ended up telling them if they put their sign there again i’d call the council as well as post the photos all over Facebook. I only ended up having to postcall over Facebook and i guess head office gave them the hard word.

Going from working inside all day to getting to walking out the front doors and having the sun shine in your face, no clouds in the sky, and a chilly Wellington breeze to remind you of where you are. Just like today.

Loosing the house of our dreams after spending a small fortune doing due diligence only to find some even better places go on the market only a few days later.

One door closes another opens and all that.

cup of coffee

Yes indeed...for a coffee lover.......you have no idea how grateful you are to the hospital visitor who brings you a "real" coffee when you are a patient!

Especially when you are suffering from a "normally fatal" stroke.

You remember the coffee and the person who bought it.

You don't remember the cards or fruit etc that you were totally uninterested in.
