Anyone know how secure snap.org.nz may be?

This is the website where you can record your assets so it would be easier to recover them if they go missing.

I would suggest pretty secure as its run by NZ Police and uses RealMe Access.

How secure is this website?

We have 128-bit SSL encryption to keep your information secure. This basically means your information travels over the internet as a sophisticated code. The SNAP Asset List Tool is secured using the high-security New Zealand Government igovt logon service. Your asset list can only be accessed by you.

I know what they say, but I was just wondering how true it might all be.

Their webserver gets a pretty low score in my books from SSL labs

If you're security conscious I would recommend sticking to services with a rating of A or A+

Thanks for that information. When you are loading up your belongings onto the web you want them to be secure.
