Gravity in 2D. Gotta be the most visually stunning movie I've ever seen. I want to go back and see it in 3D now.

Watched The Heat last night. All I expected it to be. Even wife, who suggested it, was disappointed. 3/10 and that's being nice.

Saw Sandra bullock on Norton's show and the amount of "oh, uh" over her would make you think it's the greatest actress in the world and The Heat was in the top ten movies of all time.

Load of crap.

^yeah it's weird because statistically she's probably only ever been in a handful of successful films, and yet she's still really well liked and respected as an actress.

Granted she was brilliant in Gravity, but when was the last big hit for her...? Miss Congeniality maybe?

She does seem like a genuinely nice person though - so I guess she has that going for her.

She's had 4 big hits between Miss Congeniality and Gravity, in fact she is one of the biggest female stars, cant see the attraction myself

What were they? I can't remember any of them (I like to consider that I keep fairly up to date with what's happening in the industry, though I'm by no means an "expert" on things), so I would think that's a pretty good indictment on their long term popularity.

USA box office  The Heat 160 miilion, Blind Side 255 million, the proposal 165 miilion and 2 weeks notice just under 100 million, in fact Blind side is the first film with a female lead that has taken over 200 million

Well whatever you do don't see Runner Runner, last time I let my brother decide what movie we watch.

Don't worry, I'd already seen Gravity

Watched Warm Bodies on iPad the other day...pleasantly surprised by the Rom Com Zombie flick.

The ongoing monologue is actually really quite funny.
Ending was quite cheesey but the rest of the film was really quite good.

6/10

Not a movie, but took my Inlaws and Wife to Wicked at the civic last night. Fantastic. I highly recommend anyone with even a passing interest in Wizard of Oz to go before it finished. Solid 9/10 from everyone in our group, some for whom this would not have been their first choice of entertainment for the evening.

Had prompt service and fantastic food at Depot beforehand. 9/10 from me for that too!

My fiance got us preview tickets to Thor: The Dark World and I must say I was very happy she did. Good action with a few cheesy laughs that had the whole cinema laughing. 8.5/10

I'm actually quite surprised that I'm not sick of the comic book based films yet but I actually find myself wanting more and more. Stay until the very end of the credits.

Went to About Time last night as a part of a fundraising thing.

Classic British film in the vain of Four Weddings etc.

Some good laughs, some tear-enducing moments and a few things to ponder...

All in all a movie that didn't disappoint.

7/10
