Deadpool 2. Pretty much what I expected so nothing really stands out. Some lol moments but otherwise a weaker movie than the first one. Maybe my expectations were too high or perhaps it was too similar to the first?? 7/10

Excellent. Someone who has equally awesome taste smile

Wasn't sure about Death of Stalin, but the reviews were good and thought $20 incl shipping from Amazon UK wasn't too bad either.

I watched a little of this and it just reinforced my view that I just don't understand the popularity of the Star Wars franchise.

The acting was wooden, the storyline was juvenile, the dialog didn't flow very well, the characters looked about as expensively made up as those from Doctor Who etc etc. I could go on for a while.

I know it was from the 1980's (?) but really it was rubbish. I lasted 10 minutes.

I've never understood why people like Star Wars. I'm much more of a Star Trek man myself.

The latest Maze Runner Movie - 6/10

First one was good
2nd had to pick up from the end of the first
3rd.. well, it was more of a just another post apocalyptic movie. Wasn't the best watch.

As a kid my dad loved Star Trek, never understood why, looked boring. I know it's very popular and has a huge cult following like Star Wars so it's on the list to give it a try.
Recently did a marathon of the Star Wars Franchise and I didn't mind it at all, but it's not something I would do again.

Currently watching Star Trek The Next Generation with my 12 year old daughter. She loves it. The stories are also full of good social and moral references. Haven't watched any of the movies because she wants to finish ST:TNG before watching the movies.

Personally I preferred Star Trek Voyager with the Borg and species 8472. And who could forget Seven of Nine. I have the whole series.

As you say the good guys win for the right reasons.

That's exactly what I dislike the most about it.

Deadpool 2.

Very funny. Lots of little funny things in the titles and so on. Cinematography by Blind Al for example.

Much better than Avengers IW or Black Panther.

Black Panther

That was a cool movie. Probably one of the better Marvel movies of late.

Atomic Blonde on Neon TV.

A solid East/West Berlin spy tale with a fair amount of gratuitous violence thrown in.

Great 80's soundtrack and actually, a bit of a trip down memory lane re the east/West divide...I'd forgotten how completely they were separated.

Overall, not too bad and a decent cast to boot. 8/10

A few I have watched recently.

A Good Day To Die Hard. 3/10

Pretty awful. Even Bruce Willis doesn't seem particularly interested any more.

Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Men Tell No Tales 7.5/10

Entirely predictable but entertaining nevertheless. Some really LOL moments, more so than previous episodes of the franchise.

Terminator Genisys 7.5/10

Surprisingly entertaining with a few time travel twists thown in. Won't be the same if Arnie ever stops.

Dunkirk 6/10

Maybe I was expecting too much from this but I was disappointed. Lacked atmosphere for me and I thought some of the acting was a little wooden. Least enjoyable movie I've seen from Christopher Nolan IMO.

The Girl on the Train 7/10

Confusing to start with but once it gets into it's stride a pretty competent thriller. Emily Blunt does a good job
