Saw the flash last night at Titan XC. Was great. Some great Cameo's. Ezra Millar is the worst thing about the movie, he's a decent actor, but I hate his face :)

I enjoyed this the most of many of the recent superhero movies, had some humor, great action and OMG Supergirl.

Any wokeness issues before I commit to going to watch it?

Yes.

Superman is a woman and Batman does not have nipples.

EXTRACTION 2 (Netflix) 8/10

Having posted a very positive review of John Wick 4 a couple of weeks ago, and then reading all the negative reviews in this thread, I hesitated on whether to review Extraction 2, which is very similar to John Wick 4, as in; its an action movie with lots of over-the-top fight scenes, a shallow storyline and some questionable acting. Well, I lovedđź’• it!

Beginning from where the first film ended, its an absolutely intense action fan joyride. Idris Elba makes a somewhat short appearance as an agent for the person hiring Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) to attempt another (almost) impossible extraction. Then a whole armoury of weapons are unleashed for the viewers enjoyment. Looking forward to #3.

Extraction 2 gets an audience score of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.2/10 on IMDb. Mind you, John Wick 4 scored 93% and 7.9/10 respectively, so It will be interesting to read other reviews in this thread.

Also watched a film on TV - the original Fast and Furious movie. It wasn't as bad as I remember. Baffles me that it ended up having 743 sequels though.

I've told you a MILLION times to not exaggerate! It's only 739!

John Wick 4.

1/10. No story, just killing and mayhem from start to finish. Completely unplausible fight scenes.

John Wick 4

Not as good as the first 3 but still fantastic action from start to finish.  Can't wait to watch it again.  Great (semi) conclusion to the story.  Can't wait for the Ballerina spin-off.  Going to be a blast!

8.5/10

I finally got round to watching it.

It's a John Wick movie - lots of cool choreography, lots of cool visuals, Ian McShane is a lord. What more could you want?

8/10

John Wick 4 also an 8/10 for me, finally watched it in the weekend. Had put it off for a while hearing how long it is, the time few by, not an issue at all, I missed out not watching it at an iMax. The poker scene was by far my fav and that rave, so bizarre.

Also watched Blackberry, I was looking forward to this but unfortunately only a 6/10 from me.

Mad Heidi. I gave it a 5/10. Unfortunately not as good as the trailer would have you believe, although there were a few moments that made me laugh.

I watched Wick 4 last night.  I love the character and have enjoyed the previous movies, but this one felt like they may have gone one notch too far.  There were a lot of segments requiring considerable suspension of disbelief - most combatants were wearing suits that absorbed pistol gunfire such that only headshots worked, and several scenes (namely the rave) where people didn't respond to a fight with gunfire and deaths happening beside them, and Wick was basically invulnerable in that he can fall out of buildings and be hit by cars and walk away.  I enjoyed the choreography of the fight scenes but (and I can't believe I'm saying this) some almost felt too long.  In some ways it reminded me of a video game where you are transported to a new scene where you have your big battle and then move on to the next rather than the action being an accompaniment to the progression of the story.  The degree to which the fight scenes went on reminded me of a wushu film or Tony Jaa in his Ong Bak days.

If you love Wick you'll enjoy the film, but I can see it being too much focus on fight sequences for some action fans unless that's their thing.

I watched most of a movie a few weeks ago on a plane. It was a movie type I really like but I can't recall the name to watch the last bit.

It centres around a husband and wife who move into a community led by an Elon Musk type figure doing some sort of secret experiments. Everything seems idyllic at first but then cracks start to appear. There is a lot of pressure to accept everything is OK. It's a recent movie.

From that, does that trigger a memory for anyone on what the movie was called? A women tries to kill herself and the main character a woman, ends up in the desert on a bus and witnesses a plane crash and the bus driver won't vary his route.

Are movie recommendation requests allowed? I am looking for something like Crash (2004) where you get a bunch of different seemingly separate perspectives on an event, or different things happening, that are brought together in the end?
