Just watched The Men Who Stare at Goats... I give 7/10 and it's a good entertaining story there.

Been watching the Swedish detective series called 'Wallander' - just off You Tube with each episode broken into about 12 segments. If you like Scandinavian drama - and it is quite violent in places.

Kenneth Branagh and BBC did an updated version, 6 x 90minutes made so far. They are also very good although more focus on visual style and KB as Wallander and his personal problems, whereas the Swedish version is more balanced in its focus on different characters and the crime they are solving.

I WILL be re-watching Tron (the 1982 version) next week (in 720p!), but I can tell you already it's a perfect 10/10. Pure old school nerdgasm. ;)

Watched Kick-Ass and Ip Man 2 last night!

Kick-Ass was...........well......exactly that! Kick-Ass!! Very funny and great action.
About a teenager who becomes a super-hero without having any special powers.

Ip Man 2 was awesome! If you're a fan of Martial Arts movies then this is one for you. Be sure to see Ip Man 1 if you haven't already. Ip Man follows the life of Bruce Lee's Master, Yip Man, who brought the Wing Chun style of martial arts to the world.

Watched Robin hood at the movies last night, I cant really give it much of a rating . . . i fell asleep, but i guess thats a sign in its self.

Both the wife and I walked saying that it was rather slow.

Yep, also thought it was very good. Although felt a bit sorry for the Mickey Rourke Russian Guy - he just wanted a share of the glory that his father helped make.

...saw "The imaginarium of doctor Parnassus"... since I'm keen on this kind of films I found it really appealing... if anyone shares my enthusiasm I strongly recommend "The Fall" from 2008. ..it's my all time favorit film :)

Watched Flawless last weekend. Good movie, you keep trying to figure out how it happened... And then the end is not up to the whole thing. 6.5/10

I also went and saw this. However I would say it's one of the best movies I have seen. I have a preference for movies that don't follow the standard hollywood format though so this one fits that bill.

FAQ about time travel
Brit comedy BBC. It's got a hitchhikers guide to the galaxy sort of feeling to it... a clumsy free-falling adventure while retaining some control.
My wife watched it through, and said she didn't like it, but she doesn't like brit comedy and that she sat through it says something.
I thought it was funny, and I liked the puzzle piecing together the time segments together in my mind.
8/10

Iron Man 2 - 8/10. I personally preferred the first one for the char presentation. Thought the replacement to James Rhodes was a bit iffy, but Rourke was brilliant in his role. Definitely stay until the end of the credits if you're into comics.

So many crack-up moments in that, really well done.

two foreign movies:

Cargo - Good.
Earth is dead everyone lives on massive space stations, there is rumors of Rhea a earth like planet.  Laura Portmann wants to get to Rhea but money is needed so she takes on a job in a cargo ship a 4 yr journey. The crew members spend the most time of the fully automated flight in deep sleep while, in 8 months shifts, always one person stays awake to monitor the space ship.

Valhalla Rising - Very Good has its gory moments. Though after watching the movie i still haven't worked out who one eye really is. Movie is a bit strange.
1000 AD, for years, One Eye, a mute warrior of supernatural strength, has been held prisoner by the Norse chieftain Barde. Aided by Are, a boy slave, One Eye slays his captor and together he and Are escape, beginning a journey into the heart of darkness. On their flight, One Eye and Are board a Viking vessel, but the ship is soon engulfed by an endless fog that clears only as the crew sights an unknown land. As the new world reveals its secrets and the Vikings confront their terrible and bloody fate, One Eye discovers his true self.
