I watched "We bought a zoo" last night.

I really enjoyed it, despite being concerned about the premise, maybe a 7.5-8.0 for me.

Braveheart. Fantastic transfer onto Blu-Ray. Very high quality video and sound. Really enjoyed watching this again and highly recommend. 9/10

Batman The Dark Knight Rises. I enjoyed it but only just. I have liked the series but found this one lacking. Mostly around the scenes that just looked to amateurish, like the background actors where just fake. The whole story was feed out with no need to think and it was just not one I enjoyed as much as I thought I would. 6/10

We watched Bernie last night. It was made as a "documentary" and it was hilarious even though it is based on a real life murder. Jack Black was great playing Bernie Tiede in this movie. I give it 8/10.

I tried to watch 4 Lions last night, after so many good reviews here, but I can't understand what the fuss was about, 40 minutes in I couldn't watch any more and returned it. It must have been pretty good at the end to warrant sitting through the first 40 minutes!

I posted about Four Lions before. Silly comedy act really. Watched to the end, but didn't add much to my life...

I did laugh out loud when the guy fired the rocket from his shoulder and went flying, but when the guy faked a bomb in the seminar I felt sick.

Watched Hunger Games (7/10) was a entertaining enough film, but the book was better. Plus the dog things at them end weren't creepy enough.

Also Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 8.5/10. Funny, touching, lightweight film with a bunch of really good older British actors.

also watched hunger games and found there's too much that deviates from the book and won't make sense when they do the whole trilogy. 6/10

Went and saw Expendables 2 last night, 7/10 It gave me exactly what I expected, nothing deep and meaningful but plenty of one liners and good action scenes. I Laughed more than the first film.

thecripplernz: Normally only read this thread, but scored free tickets to 'Total Recall' last night and had to warn everyone.

ITS TERRIBLE!!!

Avoid at all costs

that is all.

i must say this is the way the movie industry seems to be heading - a decade ago every other movie was worth watching ... nowadays you have to hunt for something that's worth your 120 mins ...

the best i could afford to spend my precious time on was thought to be hunger games ...

made no sense!

can't understand the plot (is there one), the moral, the theme, the imagery, lesson ... not even entertaining!

Also saw this last night and thought it was pretty good really, I had fairly low expectations after reading a review, but if you enjoyed the first, the second is good too.

7.5/10 from me.

Bourne Legacy 8/10. A good flow on from the previous movies of which I have enjoyed very much. A good amount of actors brought back from the previous series along with new cast members meant it did not feel like just another sequel. Lots of good action and the story held up very well. Motorbike scene went on a little to long but overall a very good watch.
