Well my only contact with KFC has been a couple of complaints, neither of which I received so much as a reply to. Well today they decided to spam me. Real classy of them to use email addresses derived from their complaints form.

Same here. Would have been nice if they had actually responded to the complaint I raised (team members smoking and blocking a fire exit, allowing smoke to waft back into the dining area).

Also made a complaint and now receiving spam. Their social media team have said they'll follow up but it's been over a week since then

I guess you know about the DIA spam complaint website.

https://www.dia.govt.nz/Spam-Complain-About-Spam

"You can complain about unsolicited commercial electronic messages you have received

by email,

TXT (mobile/smart phone) message,

or fax (facsimile)."

They'll want the header of the email. The easiest way is

1) click the "forward button" on the email

2) copy lines from "To" through "subject"

3) paste into the "Headers" box on the web form.

4) copy the rest of the lines

5) paste into the "body" box on the web form

6) cancel / do not send the forwarded email
